    Just got one
I need to check amp draw for each piece of equipment in my recording studio as I only have two outlets but luckily each one is on a separate circuit

you could use it if you have a shared household electric bill and someone wants to charge their electric car and pay for that separately

Save on electricity ? .........Mine has saved me over $1000. a year since I bought it. I did my own energy audit and got rid of everything that was wasting energy and money.

Does anyone know where to find chart that clearly explains all the several subtle different features of each model ?
I don’t think the makers of this product could have made it any more confusing if that was their main goal.
I have tried to find it on the web. Can’t even find a working phone # or e mail address for the company.

I've wanted to get one, but recent Amazon reviews say the things break in no time. Yours is 20yrs old--Not made as well anymore?

THANKS for the video - I was looking to find out if this device could tell me the AMPs for a charger - I bought something that has a super short charging cord, so I wanted to use a longer cable but to charge the device; but there is a warning not to charge with a charger that is more than 3 AMPS - is there a way to use this for determining the AMPs of a charger?
I too have had my device for a very long time! It helped me discover that my Vizio TV was using a dollar a day when it was OFF! they call it "standby"- we only watch TV less than an hour a day. So what I did was to get a device that has a little remote that you plug in a device and it turns the device off and on. - On Amazon they call it "remote control outlet " they cost about 13$. So instead of using 30$ a month the TV is now using a dollar and twenty five cents a month! I have used the Kill A Watt countless time - I agree with you; it is a hugh money saver.

I want to find out how much my appliance runs per day. Sounds like I records only the amount of time it is plugged into the wall outlet. Is that correct?

Correct,.once you unplug it, it resets.

@@1D10CRACY ok, thanks. I want to find one that records time only when appliance is drawing current.

Totally irrelevant but do you happen to be from northern Maryland, Pennsylvania, Jersey area? I'm quite interested in linguistics, I thought I detected a familiar accent.
