If they could just get the moving mandibles on the Generations version, that would be one step closer to Waspinator perfection. Well, since you asked, and I'm a trained environmental biologist . . . wasps have compound eyes, and each separate lens is also called an ommatidium (plural: ommatidia). Plus, when they're flying, their back wings hook onto the front wings to effectively create a single wing on each side, so that aspect of this figure is spot-on. I'm pretty pleased with the overall accuracy of the beast modes in this updated line, Dinobot's wrist angles and scales notwithstanding.

I really hope we get Terrorsaur. He needs an updated toy badly! Waspinator had a great update in the Thrilling 30 line so I feel Terrorsaur deserved an update more now.
So glad we’ll be getting Tarantulas and Terrorsaur next year. Hope they make a new Inferno figure one day. Also hope they keep making their beast forms look like the realistic animals like they’ve done with the kingdom figures.

Well, that makes me not want to see it. Not because they dropped Waspinator in particular, but because they probably dropped him because he was comic relief in the original show, and the WfC trilogy seems to be an overly serious show, and I hate these gritty and overly serious adult series based on kid shows (ever since I read the G1 Dreamwork stuff). Is like the authors of these kind of shows think that they can't be for adults if they're not dark and serious all the time, which in turn makes them boring at worst (the usual thing) or unintentionally hilarious at best.

I’ll be passing this up. I have the thrilling 30 version and this one just looks like a smaller slight retool of that. I also don’t like the colors of this one compared to t30 version. If you missed the t30 definitely pick this up though.
With all due respect I am not paying extra for a figure that is a few years old and has its price gouged up by resellers, so I will settle on this one. Plust waist swivel and ankle joints are pretty sweet.

Some people complain that the issues with the figure's structural integrity are a fault with the toy. I say it just makes him more accurate to the original cartoon.
This figure is awesome. He's a little fiddly to pose due to them using swivels instead of ball joints for his beast legs and he is very small, but the detail is just amazing. This might as well be a masterpiece Waspinator compared to what we got in the past.

So I know we’re getting Terrorsaur but are we getting Tarantulas and Inferno? I would imagine we would since we got all 7 Maximals and overall 12 out of the 14 original characters so far.
Considering that the core Season 1 Maximal cast is feature from the beginning, it's disappointing to hear the Predacons didn't get that honour. But, judging by the voice cast choices, it's probably a blessing.
I love the realistic wasp mode I tho k it looks really nice, and the color scheme reminds me of animated waspinator. Its nice to see that homaged in a more beast wars accurate waspinator
