Great second-hand purchases for movement geeks: VC 56, Triple Calendar, Lange Saxonia, 1815, L.U.C, Alpine Eagle, GO Pano, PF Tonda and pre -09 Pateks with the Geneva seal.
Gringa, thank you so much for the content. You’ve stuck around whereas just about most of the others have fallen off. I’m very appreciative of your hard work.
Watching a 15 minute Britt video while being busy repairing 2 watches for a friend of mine, what a great way to spend Sunday afternoon 😍 Cheers Britt, nice video. Love that Zenith, great watch !!!
EDWIN! 💕💕💕✨✨✨ oh this is such a lovely way to spend a Sunday! (Minus the Britt Pearce video of course! Haha) Any big work need doing on the watches?! 😱
Omega is always a great value luxury pick if you put in the time to look and buy the buyer. The specs, history, model range, and brand cache is unmatched - granted I am an Omega Acolyte. And undoubtedly the Rolex Cellini is the luxury dress watch line that almost no one talks about - but when worn at formal and/or professional events can speak the loudest and to the widest audience.
@BrittPearceWatches I am a big fan of the new Seamaster 300m black dial no date with an aluminium bezel. Darn near perfect. It would be a buy tomorrow if it was 39-40mm to make it a tad different more different from my Seamaster 300m "Great White". As it stands, I will probably wait and pick one up used in the next year or so.
I got a basically new Seamaster for 3,700 in 2022. I went with classic blue because they are beautiful and can be found cheapest in my experience. It’s the only watch that I have kept in my collection for over a year and a half, and I still wear it all of the time.
It's always fascinating to see luxury watches like OMEGA, Chopard, and Cartier become more accessible on the secondary market! These timepieces carry timeless craftsmanship and elegance, so finding them at a more affordable price is a win for collectors and enthusiasts. Great insights-thanks for sharing!
Came to see if you mentioned the 2254.50, was not disappointed. Can watch videos on the greatest Seamaster ever made on repeat. Mine should arrive back from a full Omega service today. It's been hell not having Sir Peter Blake on my wrist.
I LOVED everything about my NTTD - except the legibility under certain lighting. Those hands just disappear into the background. So sadly had to trade it in. On the bright side, I applied it against a 2006 Rolex Kermit and could not be happier!
I’ve mentioned in one of your previous videos the importance of knowing that price is what you pay, value is what you get. To know the price, look at the primary market; to know the value, look the secondary market. Jmho.
I would agree, but the 28mm with ETA movement has had failures with stopping in positions for my wife's watch, I've sent in in twice for servicing in 1.5 years of ownership it was loosing 4 minutes a day😢
Great video Brit. I will never buy a new watch again (small caveat). Just picked up an Omega Constellation Globemaster l, on bracelet for £3,600, and a Tudor Black Bay Pro on bracelet for just £1,900....!!!! Both are eBay purchase, went through their authentication and are superb. The caveat.... Rolex. I simply won't pay over list so happy to wait, and wait....and wait...
I bought the Green SMP in July 2024 at WoS Heathrow for £5500, sold it in May this year for £4200. That's the last new full price retail piece I will buy, learnt the hard way that spending £25k on new pieces with WoS over the past 18 months garners no favour for getting the call for a new ND Sub.
Or Grey market! Bought a Speedy brand new in 2022 on the grey market. Saved at least 2000 K Canadian. To each his own. For me, the AD experience is simply not worth the extra money!
Thank you for this video and advises, Britt ! Love your channel by the way … I am lost for words about Breguet, I didn’t imagine such a decrease in value in the secondary market, regarding the history of the brand, the timeless designs and the high quality standards … I don’t clearly understand the reasons of such a depreciation, even though it’s good news as the Breguet Classique is a graal watch for me, but still a lot of money
I've only sold 3 watches in all my years of collecting. Some offers are hilarious though. Selling a watch for 3k and offers like $800 just crack me up. I don't get mad though. Can't blame a dude for trying
The Patek 5212! I literally just bought it a couple weeks ago on the secondary because the price was too good for practically unworn condition. I love this inconspicuous daily piece.
Wow - I bought that exact green Glashütte SeaQ you showed. $8500 USD. Also, the JLC Polaris Mariner Memovox is going for about 60% of MSRP. Both deals are a #soredick
About Cartier Santos ... if its from 90's you can find a dial especially small size... but if its new after 2015 in my country ( Bulgaria ) brand new Santos ( L ) is 8000 euro second hand 7..7200 .. so its not a big deal .
WAIT until you try on the bracelet of a Cartier Pathere!!! if you can find a two tone version in good shape and good price, GET IT! It wears so much better than the Galbee (I bought one for my wife years ago for $1600 out of Japan) does on her wrist she said. If her Galbee wasn't as sentimental and the Galbee look so similar, she would have switched in an instant.
Went to my local boutique and was joshing with the omega rep and joked if I’d get a discount if I buy today. He said give him a bit and he came back and offered 15% off. I was shocked and he said the bracelet blue seamaster was not moving as fast as the other models so they had wiggle room. 😮. I jumped on it because I wanted preowned and ended up walking away with brand new and full five year warranty. I guess you never know and might as well just ask before they eventually have to sell them off to grey market to make room for new inventory. 🤷♂️
After years of watching Tudor BB58 in youtube. I finally bought my first automatic watch. Found a deal at 1,670 usd for a BB58 in nato strap, immaculate condition, like new. Do you think it is a good price??
holy moly i had nooo idea you could buy a Jaeger-Lecoultre automatic second hand for under $5k! thanks for looking out Watch Gringa. Damn now i gotta rethink my priorities
VC Patrimony manual time only. Half price and even less in used like new with all papers box and jazz condition on Chrono24. 40 mm gold dress, but aggressive look, curved dial is also nice touch. Must be seen in person for the color. IMHO - great deal. I was skeptical about Asian dealers, but risked one. It worked out much better than I expected :-)
I'm about to do my bit for the secondary market, by buying into the IPO - I'm going to buy a brand new Seamaster Diver 300 in blue, so I can keep it in good condition for whoever owns it next after me in 20 years' time 😁
There is some real opportunities with regard to Chopard and Zenith on the second hand market. Both are high quality watchmakers with real chops and they are just that little bit left field, too.
Been buying from profile builders who need to spend money in order to get their Rolex allocations ..they will dump the watches that they are bundled to buy by the ADs for up to 50% off RRP. ❤

Thanks for the video and information! Since talking about secondary market, do you recommend shopping on the secondary market compared to an AD/Omega store? Do you recommend a website/company to purchase timepieces on the secondary market? Thanks!
I hesitate to even say it, but the Rolex Cellini Prince is probably the most slept on watch. If I didn’t already have a Reverso that I love to death I’d have had one long ago.
