Ever think of getting a turbo timer? I had one in my skyline when I lived in Japan. Once you take the keys out of the car, it stayed on for 30 seconds then turned off. Allows the car to cool down without sitting there.
If it's rubbing when you're accelerating you got to tighten up the rear suspension but be careful not to tighten it too much cuz then you'll break traction too easily

you should get a turbo timer for all your turbo cars, personally have had an awesome experience with the cheap eBay HKS one that's like $25, got it 5 years ago and haven't had any problems with it so far . Just make sure you tie up the wires properly and get them out of the way 100% permanently .

You're probably rubbing due to aggressive offsets on your rims. My 94 Supra has 19x9.5 in front with 275/30 +44 offset, 19x11 in rear with 305/30 +43 offset, car is slammed with zero wheel gap and I have zero rubbing issues! Rear fender lips are trimmed.
Poor Supra!!! but scrapes happen...might want to invest in a turbo timer for the RX-7, nothing like walking away while it's idling then shuts hearing shut off after a 30 seconds or so (also great for the longevity of the turbo)...Great vid as always!

To fix your issue with it squatting so much you could just make you rear springs tighter. It won’t rise as well but it won’t travel as much.
