in the three days ive been non stop practicing this riff, i gotta say ive gotten much better, but that last part is TOUGH. great video man it helped a lot
@@MilesDoesMusic I make records and play everything on them + singing so I've "mastered" guitar in the sense of playing things clean enough to be on a record- but riffs like these hook me in and help me just get next level better and inspire new pieces. As long as you have a good technical foundation, would recommend this video 100/10
Because of all these other dumb tabs, on yt. I’ve been struggling to learn this song for years, but once I found your vid. I got this song down in a matter of hours. Thank you so much man. This tutorial is truly Brilliant
Solid tutorial informative even tho its a hard song riff to play it was made easy because of you thanks man! You got yourself a subscriber I've been finding this kind of tutorial since i want to be the first kid in my school to play this music
I just recently got into electric guitar ( My 11th instrument learning!) and I just wanted to see the elements of the song but you made this so easy to understand that I feel like I could play this with time. You just earned a new sub
@@MilesDoesMusic I’ve been regretfully inside my box of everlong, island in the sun, and wonderwall for the last 15 years haha, these last 12 days have been me finally picking up the theory part of it and holy moly
help im confused i have my fingers on the right frets and the tuning is right but for some reason the chords sound out of tune? idk what im doing wrong.
the part where you 11 12 13 on string E A D in tims video he tpas the 18 fret he plays open e hammer on 7 10 11 on D A E then taps 18 ON A Hammer on 13 D and 13 on b then plays the 12 on b harmonics then hammer on on 7 A correct me if I'm wrong and I wanted to ask or the vids tim uploads different from the actual record does he add slight varations or is it the tabs thank you for your time
@@MilesDoesMusic I don’t even mean impressive country. The hardest song I’ve learned is either Blackbird or I See Fire by Ed Sheeran lmao. I just got into Polyphia recently and this is obviously super advanced stuff. Are there any daily practices or anything I should do?
It’s a whole step and a half lower, so standard tuning, but tune everything down a whole step, (D/G/C/F/A/D), and then another half step after that (C#/F#/B/E/G#/C#)!
Depending on the scale length of your guitar a set of strings that are like 11-49 will give you the tension you need…otherwise, if you have any software like the stuff from neural dsp, most of them have the “transpose” feature…another option in the “physical” world would be something like the DROP pedal from Digitech.
@@MilesDoesMusic yeah I have a 10 gauge and my strings and guitar in tuning like that struggles a lot (too low and they do not stay in tune. Instead for simple tunings like FACGCE I have no problems.
@@MilesDoesMusic Is that so? Interesting... I mainly meant the fingering-- but yes, you also add some notes to the chords... That's reallly quite something^^ Anyway, it wasn't a complaint^^
This is by far the most helpful lesson video for this, thanks a lot!
Thanks so much! I tried to really be thorough so thank you for noticing 🤘🏾🖤
Would be so sick if every band made tabs available for purchase
For sure!
Thank you!
Would be sick if Polyphia didn't force websites to remove their tabs when every other band have tabs online for free
@iamrichlol it’s a source of income for them and they likely want to ensure that the information on their songs that’s out in the world is correct.
@@iamrichlol5 bucks for a tab that I will never be able to figure out accurately by ear (at least not quickly) is super worth it imo
by far the best ABC tutorial ever. all the others are just plain tabs or in a different language.
Thank you 🥰🥰

No one in my school has heard of this music
That’s crazy
When I shows the music to 1 person they said they hated it
@rocketpower4127 damn
Thank you so much for covering this song❤❤
Sure thing!!
Thank you a million times over! You are doing a great service to a lot of people! Learning Polyphia tunes keeps the guitar in my soul
Thank you!!!
This was soo dope man! Keep up the vids.
Thank you! I did one for “playing god” as well!

@@MilesDoesMusic is there anything you recommend I practice daily to get fretboard fluency
There is - I’m gonna make a video on the topic this week so stay tuned 🤘🏾🖤

Thank you!
it's sad that not many people know about you this is a great tutorial
Algorithms 🤷🏾♂️
Share it around please!!
(And thank you)
Thank you for this, was also wondering how you get your guitar tone or the type of gear you use
For this video I believe I was using the Tim Henson plug-in from Neural DSP!
Thank you so much!
Great lesson big dawg 👊🏼 appreciate you
Thank you!!
I subscribed because the intro got me
I’m glad you’re here 🥰
This is going to take me a while to learn

Perfect song to learn after learning stairway heaven
Oh totally!
Awesome Chapelle posters. ;)
Thank you!

You got it!
help im confused i have my fingers on the right frets and the tuning is right but for some reason the chords sound out of tune? idk what im doing wrong.
Hard to know in this disconnected form that you’re presenting your issue in, but I would check the positioning of your fingers again.
9:00
That’s a time.
What is the background music at the intro. M not talking about abc
That’s my intro music!
Where can I get it. I love it
@orlanz I could probably make it available as a sound in RUclips’s library
When I try to slide notes, I notice my guitar doesn’t produce much noise. Can I have tips on sliding notes?
It’s all about maintaining contact with the string across other frets - if you lift your fingers at all, the vibration will stop
Thanks much the video was to slow so I sped it up but some people need it that way sped it up by x1.5 and learned the song.
Cool af.
hi from japan!!!
I love polyphia and I want to play this song.
But I started guitar 1month ago...
Is this song too hard for me??
Hi! Yeah, it could be but it’s all about how much time you put into learning whatever it is you want to learn!

Yeah, the tabs depict what he’s playing in a different manner than how he actually plays it
Could you please do playing god🙏🙏
I could!

0:44 new music in the future or new music from the future :)
PLEASEE CAN U DO ALL FALLS APART BY POLYPHIA PLEASEE
I’ll try 😅
@@MilesDoesMusic thankss
This seems slightly harder than the country music I’m used to
It’s a step above Johnny Highland 😅

I can’t figure out how to tune my guitar right
It’s a whole step and a half lower, so standard tuning, but tune everything down a whole step, (D/G/C/F/A/D), and then another half step after that (C#/F#/B/E/G#/C#)!
@@MilesDoesMusic I don’t know how to
Perhaps this song is a little out of reach at the moment then! Grab a tuner and get savvy with that first!
@@MilesDoesMusic I’m just not good at tuning
If you have a tuner, just take it one string at a time - and remember you’re tuning DOWN! Not up!!
My theory is that he himself can't even play it at full speed cuz he doesn't once show himself playing it
🤣🤣🤣
I can't even tune my guitar on that tuning
Depending on the scale length of your guitar a set of strings that are like 11-49 will give you the tension you need…otherwise, if you have any software like the stuff from neural dsp, most of them have the “transpose” feature…another option in the “physical” world would be something like the DROP pedal from Digitech.

🤣🤣🤣
That's not how Tim plays it, but sill nice ;)
That’s because he plays it different than the tabs he sells 🥴
@@MilesDoesMusic Is that so? Interesting... I mainly meant the fingering-- but yes, you also add some notes to the chords... That's reallly quite something^^
Anyway, it wasn't a complaint^^
It’s not just Tim - many bands will outsource to get their tabs written or will notate the official ones one way and then play it live another way.
Yeah bruv
