Great video! I talked to one of y’all in Zwolle (Got confused about direction of train there lol) and I was also the one who made that semi honk in Frierson.
To be honest, I thought everything about CP 2816 now CPKC 2816 was all older footage. But after googling it, it turns out this was happening right now. Apparently this tour known as the Final Spike Tour was to I guess celebrate the merger between CP and KCS. Now together there CPKC. And this locomotive is gorgeous! So is the whistle! A pure Canadian built H1b Hudson named the Empress. Welcome back CP 2816 aka the Empress.
The sound of steam engines moving down tracks alone under pwer soumd amazing theres the whistles is a whole other amazing thing
Yes I agree
SDom proud so see all my American friends enjoying a piece of Canada!

22:56 I saw that same bridge at the time I was ahead of the train bit my friend and I decided not to stop
Nice video.
One small thing though, 2816 is limited to 50 mph. She never was doing 65. I chased the exact same stretch.
It was hard for me to tell, seemed like around 60 to me but I'm sure I'm wrong.
Fantastic shot!
