Put defiled cathedral on toxic sewers. First tox map dropped apothecary. So i guess next is residence on infested valley while nimis is expensive right :^) Love you jim! Keep having fun!
The rare cards are a bait honestly. You’re better off with a more common valuable card, I went with divine beauty from underground sea and I see one every 15 maps or so just juicing harbinger and beyond.
are you sure that's how div card drops work though? you are assuming that the game drops a card then decides which one to give you, instead of each card having a flat drop chance from each mob you kill. basically you are assuming that how many you get of a card depends on the other in the pool, which is not obvious to me.
This is how the game does work. You have buckets, each bucket is a type of item (rare item, currency, div card, etc). Once it chooses a bucket, it randomizes an item from that bucket based on weights.
You are correct, that isn't how the game works. The other guy who commented is not exactly wrong though, there are "buckets" but it chooses a bucket based on the total weight of all items within those buckets. You can find the weights of some of the buckets on poedb in the GameConstants DropPool section. But buckets that don't have a static weight (like div cards) are either not listed on this page or are listed as 0 weight. So Pedrolopa2 was correct and unfortunately Jim's math is not. The game will choose div card less often if you have less cards that you can possibly drop or if the cards that can drop are extremely low weight. This has been confirmed many times and you can even confirm yourself (i've double checked this in previous leagues personally) in only a few maps by farming a map with high weight cards like Castle Ruins and count how many div cards you pick up (make sure your filter doesn't hide all the useless/bad cards). Then do ones like Silo with very low weight cards. It'll be obvious immediately how many fewer cards you get on silo (you'll pick up about 250 cards in around the same amount of Castle Ruins maps as it takes you to get a single card when running Silo) I copied Jim's Spreadsheet and fixed the math to not care about the other cards in the pool and the result is: Residence Defiled Cathedral Palace Burial Chambers Siege Moon Temple Underground Sea Sepulchre Lava Lake Dry Sea Or if you ignore cards with a weight under 100: Palace Underground Sea Siege Dry Sea Lava Lake Promenade Fields Orchard Terrace Relic Chambers
@@Slipperyjim8 Oh I would love to know how it works in general, like what maps should be scry'd into what maps is best. I see the spreadsheet but still dont even understand how to get the most benefit from scrying, as well as which maps should be scry'd between one another. seems very complicated, though it likely isnt.
@@itsokiiethis video answer ur what map to scry part. If u wanted to have a chance to drop apothecary on the side when doing ur farming strat u play defiled cathedral time and time again until u found nameless seer and use the scry option to choose the favourite map of ur farming strat choice.
@@pramadanaagsha3943 Ok but no one explained how it worked. Your comment explained it which is all a lot of us needed. I found Nameless in Mesa meaning it's useless. Needing the find the Seer in a map you like the cards of is what's important which is good to know.
@@MalphasMikaelson glad it clear that up for u. Well there's specific strat that I have seen people do just to rush nameless seer so it should not take more than 50 alch and go map.

Yeah I had an idea for sorting and noticed that recently. Have fixed it. Probably cus I imported data incorrectly from Divcord sheet. I'll double check it all.
@@Slipperyjim8 Palace also had a wrong card. I was checking but I am not sure if it makes sense, instead of looking at the list without the jackpot, looking at the list with cards that are only above a certain weight, in which case Palace (because of sephiroth) and Underground Sea (because of divine beauty) would be dropping the cards with the best ratio but I am not entirely sure that is the way to think about it.
@@Slipperyjim8 I rechecked the list using the new weight calculations sirgog and co came out with. It is still Palace and Underground Sea standing out. Love you jim! Keep having fun!
I think removing cards below a certain weight % of the total weight makes more sense for figuring out a short term strat
you had The Progeny of Lunaris at 493 divines, nowadays is worth 2 dvines
Misleading title div in the sheet means divination card, the value is in chaos, at the time of recording they were ~490c each now closer to 300c each.
babe, jim gone full acoustic again, buckle up, cheers big dog love the info
this video is intersecting ty !
GRRR JIM Just as I finished finding seer in burial chambers!

Still good map, but me and my 5 divines are biased.
i rated maps with the highest priced t17 slightly higher in my scry decision
would make sense to have a counterpart to "jackpot removed", where cheap cards don't add to the cost
Thank you for this video Slipperyjim, I also hope your headache leaves you alone sooner than later. Enjoy your 3.25 !~
Hey love your videos where do i find a good video where it explains the scry mechanism
Thanks Jiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiim!
I'm happy that defiled cathedral is top 5 but I've still to see 1-2 apothecaries and I need a mageblood now for my min-max version 😢
You gotta use the gumball of currency drops to get divs to buy apoths aswell. Don't just rely on drops.
thanks for the doc i guess
ok sir residence it is then
Can you scry a Acton's Nightmare to a normal map?

More or less

why is "i see brothers" in strand a weight of 0?
