A delicate and graceful piece of music that I really appreciate. Your video accompanies everything WONDERFULLY.... I like it very much I wish you a wonderful Sunday : Like 3 -) Lolo ~
Hi Cal, I always enjoy playing a tune with Ian. He makes it seem so easy. Ian plays 10 hole diatonic harmonicas that are "Paddy" tuned. I got a paddy harmonica last Christmas and soon found out it's not easy at all
Hi Yogi, I hope you're well and the weather is good up in Byker country. Twenty something years ago I used to be up in your neck of the woods quite a bit playing ing in the working mens clubs. It's always a pleasure to play a tune with my mate Ian. BTW, I just put down a deposit on a Gibson guitar. It will be delivered next month, I can't wait.
Hi Michael, I've played this one quite a few times too over the years in clubs and bars. I always found it a little strange during the years that I played in a country music band that the most requested songs were always the saddest ones.
Hi Jim, this is an old song that I used to play years ago when I first started out playing in a country band. Ian told me he'd been getting into playing some old country tunes so I suggested this one. I thought his performance was great.
Hi Andre, it's always a pleasure to play a tune with my friend Ian. While I was recording my parts for this track I thought a piano would be nice, but as you can hear I can't play piano so I did the best I could.
Hi Andre my keyboard doesn't have any midi capabilities and apart from that my tech knowledge isn't very good. I programme a quite simple backing track with "Chordpulse" then everything else on my tracks is played in real time. I got the little Yamaha keyboard because I thought the sounds it has on board are far better than an instrument at that price have a right to be. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on an instrument that I can't play.
Hi Ian, I always love playing a tune with you. It's great all year long but we'll soon be at my favourite time of year and time to get a bit of "Fairy Tale of New York" going.
The harmonica tone goes well with the melancholy melody of this song. The guitar tone is also a nice accent. BTW, I saw a link to a Gibson guitar. I feel like the tone is similar to Gibson Firebird, maybe because of the mini humbuckers. I like the sound of the humbucker but with a dry tone. It looks cool too. The color is nice and calm and the lack of binding on the body is cool. You get a nice guitar.
Hi chaw, my friend Ian did a lovely performance of this old sad song. I'm very excited about getting a Gibson guitar. I did look at Les Pauls with P90s but I have the Harley Benton so I thought it would just be more of the same, even though a real Gibson would probably have an even better tone. I always loved the sound of the "Les Paul Deluxe" from the 70s with mini humbuckers but my bank balance would never stretch to one of those. Until I saw that post on RUclips I didn't know that the "Studio 70s Tribute" existed. As far as I know they were only made for one year in 2012 and very rarely pop up on the second hand market. I think the sound of the mini humbucker is somewhere in the middle from a single coil and regular humbucker but a little brighter than a P90. I think it will suit me well.
Good morning 🌄! Thank you to you both for this awesome music 🎶. Very well played and presented! Mark Bensette Aux Bois 🇨🇦.
Hi Mark, I hope you're well. It's always a joy to play a tune with my friend Ian.

@@Reeldin58 You do like me, compose in midi with a Daw and a plugin like Keyscape
