@@hingsing1 I was freaking out that he was playing VS music that they didn't use in the B2B 😭, up to this point Greg only used VS edits/IDs he acquired from Second Sky

"Bad Science" by Rustie. Released in 2009 !!!! Talk about a man ahead of his time. It's so sad he vanished after 2015-2016, he was such a pioneer and innovator of Trap & honestly a huge influence in the entire scope of EDM back in the late 2000s, early-mid 2010s. I remember discovering him in high school over a decade ago, and I still find myself sometimes trying to scratch the "Rustie itch" lol. He had SO much potential. SO many unreleased / unlicensed tracks/remixes/edits/flips too on RUclips, SoundCloud that all go SO crazy, along with all of his officially licensed/released material on music streaming services. Just about every drop on his last officially released LP from 2015 "EVENIFUDONTBELIEVE" STILL slap just as hard to this day. Raptor, Attak (feat. Danny Brown), & Velcro are prob the best tracks from his 2014 album "Green Language" ; a couple other tracks on there w/ rapper features "Up Down" & "He Hate Me" are tight as well. The first song I heard of his was his at-the-time brand new Single "Slasherr" (as well as Triadzz on the Single EP) in 2013, and I was INSTANTLY hooked. Glass Swords was another gamechanger of an album, and honestly so much of his earlier work is so ahead of its time. (Check out "Play Doe" by Rustie & Joker; shit is so "2000 & LATE" lmao.) I was lucky enough to get to see him once, at Bonnaroo in June of 2015; playing at one of the Tents on Friday, & MAN was it a kick-ass time. He blessed us with some of his unreleased stuff too, like the song Terra Star - that shit goes WILD. Little did I know he'd vanish from all existence after that year, pretty much. (HOWEVER, just a month ago I saw he UPLOADED A SONG on music streaming platforms for the first time in about a DECADE... I am hoping & praying he's teasing, w/ more to come.) Listening to enough G Jones & similar artists over the years, it has become increasingly clear how great of an influence Rustie has had on their production styles. I definitely can hear some pretty clear Rustie influence on G Jones' overall style as an EDM artist, especially. At shows I've been to I've heard G Jones & others like Flume, even Madeon (at his show like 8 years ago) sprinkle in the occasional Rustie drop in their live show mixes; Big Catzz is a popular example. But yeah, Rustie was & still IS a big pioneer & player in paving the way for so many likeminded artists in this scope of the EDM scene, it's crazy. REALLY hoping he makes a comeback and starts dropping stuff again; would have me over the Moooooonnnn
I love Girtual Jelf
