Excellent setup guide; great delivery...perfect amount of information. Cannot stress enough about DNS being setup properly ahead of installing vCenter.
The "no healthy upstream" message is due to one or more of the services that does not automatically start. Check the services in the fqdn:5480 and start manually running each service until the message disappears and then you can start running vCenter Server 7.0.
Hey Bernardo, yes i hit that bug, VMware already released version 7.0.0c so is advisable to update to that version using the updater that comes bundled in the vcenter appliance management page. Peace out!✌️
Thank you for the heads up. I'm hardly not on the vmware site checking for updates. So busy with this WFH at the job. Hope all is well with you and family. Be safe my friend.
Sweet. Should of done that myself. I had a vCenter 6.5, but I wanted to do a fresh install (me being me - lol). Be well and be safe. Thanks for watching.
I had similar issue with 7.03. I reinstalled with DNS records already created and waited almost 10-12 minutes for internal web server to start. Seems it takes sometime to start the internal webserver and also it does not work on IP address, but fqdn is reqd. I tried that way and it worked. I am going to make one more reinstall and see if that is the real solution or it was just luck
I ran into the same issue and thought it was something i did wrong, "no healthy upstream". What is the resolution? There are no updates showing available.
Keeping it light and simple with today's video. Installing VMware vCenter 7.0. Who using it? What is your favorite feature on vCenter 7.0?

Nice videos man. Fan of your channel. I am IT for about 7 years and Net+ certified. I got my esxi setup and next to setup vCenter. Thanks again.
BTW I'm using 6.7 esxi. Small lab project I started pre pandemic and back in office to do some labs.
thanks! This is the only video i found that helped!

thanks for the advice
I upgraded our entire production environment to 7.0 and don’t have that issue. I would install the Vcenter certificate on your pc. It might help

6:28 It said "no healthy upstream" when I clicked on a website that was not that.

Are you able to deploy 8.0 vcenter ova ?
But the vcenter 6.5 is very much ok,right?
Why not using ui or cli installer?
There are many ways to do the installation. As long as you get it up and running 😁.
CLI is old school and boring. מאור יצקן
