The Bible is 50% truth and 50% human invention. Like do you think the Bible was thrown from the sky written by God ? Nope, they always said people were inspired by spirit. Some people could have been "inspired" not "channelers" so not all in the Bible is truth. Somethings are and somethings aren't. The point is we have to use discernment to see the truth. There's so much bullshit written there by the church and religion. Religion was invented just to separate people from our truth... God is just the same in all religions. And yet all religions fight each other for which owns the truth, when we all should be United and love the same God. We all are pieces of God because our soul was created from his own energy.

Its not about selfishness, taking care of yourself is good, loving yourself is good, what we call selfish people are just people who have a very lowselfsteem and are disconected from others because of fear. I am not pleased ny that I jusrt sacrifice for you. Would you feel loved like that? No. I think we would all want our friends or our love to tell us " I am with you because I am so happy when I am with you. i am pleased" right? Honestly I dont want anyone tobe with me out of sacrifice but out of happiness. I want people to selfishly be with me!
