it sounds all intimidating at first.. and then it just changes to something fitting for Seto Kaiba sized ego seriously right about the part at about :26 it stounds more like your fighting him in some kinda epic space stadium more than a warzone or whatever it's epic, still sounds intimidating, but you can just hear the ego.. which if you paid attention Ingram did have a huge ego though he didn't really rub it in people's faces until he started piloting
You know, looking back on it...I kind of liked the R-Gun Rivale. It's grown on me recently. My only problem with it...it just isn't cool enough. I mean, all these other Boss Mechs...look at freaking Geber Gan Eden, it destroys galaxies! Sure, R-Gun Rivale has Axiom Cannon, which was cool, and gun slaves, but that isn't very many attacks. So, honestly, I think Cobray will pilot the Dis Rivale, and hopefully, it'll be as freaking awesome as the Astranagant(s).
Thank you so much... I enjoy all the other ones as well, I always vote 5.. you're like the only person who uploaded most of the songs cept the popular ones like gong... Take your time too cause most the ones I requested aren't the best and you've uploaded enough to keep me busy anyway....
I'm actually going to go back and do a take 2 of @3's OST and include all the songs I missed last time. It'll take a while though, so please be patient.
i fucking hate the fact that i was so lucky to beat this cunt with grungust final beam without any SP, EN and Ammo left from anyone on the map cause i depleted everything reducing this dude hp. the gungrust had like 15% chance to hit, if he missed the r gun rival would restore a bunch of health back and it was gg for me
I had fun pushing the limits of my units with twin buffs and pairing them so I could maximise Pierce and Valor/Soul. At least in Normal/Hard I did manage to take down all 160k in one turn.
It's tricky the first time you face it for most people. Myself, I used Armor Breaker with supporting attack units like Excellen to help whittle it down alongside the EN Drains.
@SkeletonMan808 maybe, but it could explain the "purple mazinger" fail everyone's so enraged about that was somehow fixed at SRW L that said, this only makes the Astranagant/Rivale thing even harder to understand
Harder in the GBA Version, the PS2 version has the Twin Battle System (2 units attack at the same time increasing the damage output) Seishin/Spirit Commands can also be shared (Zeal/Cheer/Enable, etc). Combine the Twin System with Offense support to up the damage even further. GBA only had Offense Support. The GBA Version battle may be easier if you saved all your Cartridges/Fuel Tanks up to the missions where you fight the Rivale. Either that or use Fury/Break to bypass the Warp Field.
GBA uses the support style, but ONLY if any of the pilots have learned the skill and the chances of it happening are determined by how high the skill is.
What if Ayin gets possessed by OG Ingram and Cobray stays as veteran Cobray from @3 timeline as multiverse time diver. That way Ayin's Werkbau will instead transform to regular Astranagant.
@@SteelSevenPs overkill beyond INFINITY!!! I love it!!!!!!! Ingram: Infinity Cylinder…fire! Cobray: Now return to nothingness! Ain Soph Aur, DEAD END SHOOT!!!!
@SkeletonMan808 actually funny you mention SRWJ, a friend of mine found if you change the settings (i think color to "game boy colors" but i don't remember what he said he did), the purple mazinger IS Black, it's just shiny as hell, so apparently the purple mazinger thing is an emulation error on the sprite or a design error fixable through emulation, only the japanese know.....
I prefer this version, the Alpha version doesn't have the "thump" than this one, even though I admit the song quality is kinda rough, but hey! it feel like playing old games! The Alpha version is to "smooth"
So I tried to challenge myself by using only Super Robots and Battleship for the entire OG GBA play through. Was all fine until I reach R-Gun Rivale. Currently stuck at him. (Katina in Grungust, Leona in Valsion Custom and Kyosuke in Giganscundo) Cant do enough damage to offset his HP regeneration DX
Decided to come back (I know, 1 year later :I) at trying to deal with Rivale using only Super Robots & Battleship. Had to redo the mission but I managed to force Rivale to withdraw..... barely. Swapped out Katina & Kyosuke (Kyosuke in Grungust & Katina in Gigan now) & ramped up Kyosuke's melee skill with my remaining points. Valsion Custom's Energy Drain is a saver against Rivale (dem Warp Field) . Also, Valor'ed final attacks on an unshielded Rivale really helped I just realised that it's near impossible to get all Battle Mastery (due to having too few units to actually do it). Also, for me, SRX is allowed in this run provided I had the R-units combine at turn 1 and never split till the end
Im actualy stuck on him in Ryusei's route (GBA version) but thanks for the advice. What makes it easyear in Kyosuke's route does he have lower stats all somthing.
well because in kyosuke's route the last time you vs him he has lower armor then in ryusei's route the last time you vs him the diffrence is aromor and stats his armor in ryusei's route the last time you vs him is 2530(if I remember correctly) and for kyosuke's route the armor is 2200 same with judecca on both routes and if you can try to focus on the attack rampage ghost because its max power is around 8000 and higher while r-formations max power is somewhere around 7400 but only if you can tho
is it weird that I actually didn't have much trouble with the Rivale? I played the PS2 version, so maybe that had something to do with it, but he wasn't that much harder than anything else in the story at that point.

About the Aerogaters/Balmarians, do they, Keisar Ephes included, still exist in OG Version of the Shadow-Mirror Universe, I mean, how is Beowolf going to fight Ephes alone?
lol I haven't played OGS but in gba version in ryusei's route he is harder but in kyosuke's route he is a bit easier but if you have everyone ready to do their ultimate attacks with valor's and supports energy drains and armor breaker and then you pretty much have won
After playing the game once, i replayed the whole thing just to listen to his theme and drag the battle sooo long so i can kick his ass hard.Good times...
It's weird how people complain about Rivale so much when I never had too much trouble with it in OGG even on the first playthrough (well it was a bit tedious draining all of his EN first). Was that due to having played SRW before or was it harder in the GBA game somehow?
wait also if you you use revolver stake on an enemy you are... PIERCING THROUGH LIKE A BOSS'S BOSS have you played og 2 people have been saying its way too hard but if you have played og 2 how hard was it?
