the Greeks have masculine and feminine articles in nouns. The way their word for Holy Spirit is written makes it technically a female noun, but they are referring to it in actuality as He. It is similar to Spanish where there are also male and female articles on nouns. The captions just translated it literally so it looks wrong.
I don't think so. The Bible proves that God does NOT care about the prayers of people - being the longest or the shortest; but God is interested in the people that pray. Listen to this: Pro 28:9 "He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination."
Metropolitan Neophytos is a spiritual son of Elder Ephraim of Philotheou, who was the spiritual son of St. Joseph the Hesychast for 12 years. I think he knows what he's talking about when it comes to prayer.
@@fahn777 You might be perfectly right, and I can bow down before such a knowledgeable and spiritual man. However, you agree with me 100% (and I know that you will) that as spiritual as Metropolitan Neophytos could be, even if he could equal Paul, the Apostle, he is NOT allowed to have any different opinion outside of the WRITTEN WORD OF GOD - how much less than an angel, without being accursed. And I say that based on the Apostle Paul’s teaching in Galatian 1:8-9 that goes like this: “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”
@eotpatriarchs no I disagree with you 100% because I think you're applying a Protestant-like exegesis to these passages. You seem to think His Eminence doesn't know there are prerequisites for God to accept our prayers. One could also listen to Elder Ephraim say "if someone does this he will surely be saved" in regards to the Jesus prayer, and if they don't understand the prerequisites of the Jesus Prayer they can misconstrue what he meant. Just saying prayers without contrition of heart or love for God is vain repetition.

Why did he refer to the Holy Trinity as a she and it?
Those are Greek pronouns. In Greek it is “Η τριάδα” (the trinity is a word with a “female gender”), so we get «Η Αγία Τριάδα» (The Holy Trinity).
