    So I put in an electric one instead.
    Along with power upgrades we are starting to cook some delicious local foods on Supernova with our electric induction cooktop.

    I like your workbench. An American pipe fitter went to South Korea to train them to fit pipes. He was disgusted to see them squatting on the floor all day. He told them worktables and after they made the tables he said tomorrow when I come to work I want to see all of you using the new tables. The next morning when he opened the shop door they had the piping on the tables and they were walking on the tables and squatting like a flock of chickens.

    Could the E1 code from the AC be a power issue? How long did the AC run before the code came up?

    • @sailing.supernova
      @sailing.supernova  8 дней назад

      it was running for about 5 minutes, when we looked it up it said it was waterflow, we have done a bit of trouble shooting today (that was filmed last night) and we are 100% sure its the water before it gets to the AC, so it could be the strainer or it could be the pump. It could also be a flow problem becasue the supply pipe has a T in it and its also used for the water maker. but at least we know the AC is good :-)

    There are a lot of inverter generators for much lower prices right now, and more powerful than that Honda, should you decide you'd still like to have a backup/alternate power source. Lowest prices I've seen for inverter generators, at about $300-$350 for a 2600-watt generator. The new ones also come ready for parallel connection with another inverter generator, so you could buy 2 for less than the price of a Honda. You know the saying, two is one and one is none. (I have a little 500w generator that I can use, if need be, for charging batteries. It sips gas.)

    Hey guys, the Torx bits have been around for a many years and are pretty common, A set of Torx bit screw drivers or sockets are not terribly expensive and should be a part of any tool kit. You can absolutely change them to a Phillips bit if you like. The spring in for the pull cord is called a clock spring and they're an absolute pain in the ass. Good job! Just out of curiosity, why spend so much money on both of those generators and not buy new alternators? At least one and keep the generator as a back up?

    • @sailing.supernova
      @sailing.supernova  8 дней назад

      We do have a torx bit, but this one needed a hole in the middle, its an anti tamper bit, we have order the right bit but we won't get it for a month lol.
      We have 2 alternators that don't work, and we will be working on them very soon. Redodo gave us the battery so that didn't cost us anything, we got the gas generator in Alaska, We have 4000 watts of solar so as soon as we left Alaska we have never really needed more power, but we really just want to fix the alternators, but its been very hard with 2 different people that have been paid to fix them and have not been able to. but we will get it done soon!

    Hey, if you are big fan of soda water/soda. I would recommend getting one of those big co2 canisters instead of soda stream bottles that only last a while and you can't get everywhere. You can then either get adapter for soda stream to pipe co2, or just do it straight into the bottle via small attachment without the soda stream. Good thing is that those last for a long time, and you can most likely get/fill them almost anywhere unlike soda stream. It also should be cheaper overall for what you get. Something like kegland products.
