    I just wanted to say thank you Joe, because of these kinds of videos it has given me the courage to go back country camping/hiking. Ever since I was a little kid I liked camping and I even spent my first pay checks buying camping gear but only using it in my parents backyard. Years and years went by and I watched some of your videos and I thought I can do this. I bought canadian tire gear and went out to Frontenac provincial park to try back country camping. I have a problem dealing with stress, I been in the hospital multiple times cause it would manifest in heart attack like symptoms. I started backcountry camping August of 2015, and I can say now that the woods call to me when I feel stressed. In 2016 I've been back country camping / hiking every month expect January and February. My wife went with me for the majority of the times but I have taken a likening to solo hiking / camping. I live in eastern Ontario but if you need friends Joe I would gladly make the drive to camp with you for one over nighter, I would bring beer brewed in Quebec. Anyways I just wanted to say thank you for inspiring me buddy. Have a good one

    Hey I just got done watching your "snow/winter" 2 night bushcraft. I have not heard of you before or watched any of your other video's. Something about the way you do it, I cannot put my finger on it, but I enjoyed, immensely. Thank you for putting it together. .I like your reference about "just building forts" , and you cook up some cool grub.. I am originally from upstate NY but have been living life way down south in the bayou. I do miss camping out in the cold. Enjoyed the

    Joe the scariest experience I have had in the woods happen one evening while squirrel hunting. Up on a ridge above me a bobcat cried out. It made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Sounded just like a human baby crying. Scared me right to the bones..... I hope I never hear that again.

    Joe really enjoy your videos. I have to apologize to you because. the first time I stumbled on your vids it was with another young man and I had the impression you were just a smart as no nothing kid. As I watched more I found you were a compassionate young family man who loves the outdoors and spending time with your dog. I am subscribed, but more importantly. I am a 73 yu old guy with a bad hart and can't get out except in my truck. Watching your videos make me feel almost like being there, working on shelter improvements, cooking a tasty meal, and using your equipment. So a big thank you and you are a very fine young man.

      109 he's a German shepherd lol, they are very busy dogs. My female GSD will carry her ball for 10 miles and heaven forbid she loses it because she won't stop looking for it. If you want a laid back dog, don't get a GSD LOL.

      Carrie Joe says it's a Belgian Malinois I made the same mistake a few years ago on a different video but very similar obviously so if we both made that mistake

    • @Carriesue1982
      @Carriesue1982 8 лет назад +6

      Cody Gervais No he's not a Malinois, I am heavily involved in the dog world training in protection and I see A LOT of Malinois and that dog is not one. Possibly a GSD/Mal mix but not 100% Mal, there is definitely mostly GSD in there. Still a beautiful dog though. :)

    Joe, I'm a new fan. Just found you in past few weeks, but I'm hooked now, and the wife and kids are starting to watch as well. We also love the outdoors of Ontario in many of the same areas of your videos. I am also a Fan of IPA's and craft beers. Tonight is the third time I've seen you open the same beer I was drinking at the time. I'm enjoying a Nickel Brook Equilibrium as we speak. Please Try Pilsner Urquell from the Czec Republic. Its available at most LCBO locations in southern Ontario. I usually only drink Ontario Craft IPA's, but this is the exception, and has become one of my favorites.
    Cheers!

    Cut the sausage down the middle from the start and grill em flat...they don't roll and I like em better that way...more caramelization per square inch...love the end section after last beer. Your too much like me.

      HunterNugent great to split the sausages in a pan, but on a grill or bbq you will lose a lot of the juice/fat through the gaps resulting in a dryer sausage.

      Ricky Wilcox it was 2 trees rubbing together; after being in the woods for a while you learn most "Scary" things just turn out to be something with a reasonable expination
