The watercooling not cooling the CPU and GPU cores is a design oversight IMO. Those are the greatest heat-generating components in the system by far. The GPU VRAM comes a distant third.
I thought it was the cpu or gpu was going to water cooled directly, wao ,calling it the first water cooled laptop makes it sound more than what it is....
The water cooling is a gimmick, there is no radiator, no way to dissipate heat other than the same heatsink that is attached to the cpu and gpu, and very little water in the tiny loop, so the thermal capacity is nothing to begin with. If they were to try and cool the cpu and gpu with this water cooling solution it would overheat, hence why it is just another air cooled laptop.
Tom's Hardware just spotlighted a much thicker AMD 64 core water-cooled gaming notebook, adjust for inflation the boutique pre Dell owning Alienware era, I believe $5000 USD wasn't unheard of
For that kind of moolah (over $4k) it had better be a very quiet laptop.. as I need quiet in my sound booth whilst recording! If not, I'n going nowhere near it. 🙂Steve
Does the rgb sync with content on screen while gaming? Gpu is water cooled not just the vram i think

RAM can get hot, CPUs not nearly as much as GPU; compare to mine; Asustek G60Vzx which is a 16inch nVidia MXM2 that is a GTX265 only

Just got a Envy17 to replace my dead ROG G751, it's dated and just a pre 1080GTX but the Omen definitely appears the favored gamer OEM from HP

Newest I have is Asus Vivobook 2020 laptop, no amazing SD cards on many Asus I've used, but the ROG-751 did impress with all for USB A 3.0
