I’m doing what fyrus is doing and I’m starting to make a line of sea and black bass and I’m gonna basically torture them every day by placing them in front of a camp stove for being annoying af and raising my hopes for the oarfish (yes I do have a coelacanth but I still want the oarfish) but instead it’s a f*ing bass

Like fish and insects, manila clams don't stack; each one you dig up takes up one space in your pocket. BUT if you carry a workbench in your pocket you can quickly craft the clams you find into fish bait, which DOES stack! Ten fish bait per pocket space. This frees up pocket space to collect more clams/bait, shells, and fish. A pocketed work bench also allows you to quickly customise tools - like fishing rods - which are about to break so they last longer. Or if a tool does break you can quickly make a new one because you've got a work bench ready with you. This REALLY helped me when I was struggling to catch a stringfish, hopefully it will help someone who reads this.

Caught a colecanth on a sunny day at the desert island , thought they were a rain fish and was so confused when it happened. Maybe that info helps whoever needs to catch a colecanth, maybe try one of the deserted islands 😁

I honestly don’t struggle with catching stringfish which surprised me cos I saw so many people claiming it was super rare, I took twenty bait to an island and whilst just catching whatever was already there so I could start using my bait I got it. I’ve also caught one on my own island. I honestly don’t get if I’ve been super lucky or if there’s some kinda tip that you guys aren’t using?
I am a blind animal crossing player. So I have to listen to the nibbles very carefully but I still get excited and hit the button too soon LOL. And sometimes they bite on the very first hit and I miss those sometimes too. I am in the northern hemisphere so far the biggest moneymaker I have caught is a red snapper. My daughter caught I can't even pronounce it because I can't see how it's spelled LOL but the one that's really rare that only comes when it's raining that's worth a lot of money. I can't catch it for crap though. Now it has started scorpion season here and she has been lucky enough to have a scorpion Spohn on her Island the first three days of May but she has gotten bitten or stung whatever you call it every single day so far. It's a little challenging being a blind gamer but we use several applications to help us along. It's pretty fun. She got me a switch light for an early Mother's Day present. Still haven't caught a shark yet I really only started this week. I heard you all know if it's a shark by a fin in the shadow but I can't see the shadows LOL. But my Aira agent can if I ever get one. Be careful giving out your codes like he said some people if you don't know them very well can be malicious and take your stuff , Or trash your island. It sucks that people can be so mean but unfortunately those people do exist. Balloon disappears when I go in and back out, so there's likely some sort of reset, but money spots do not reset and they will sit there for a time regardless. Some things are hard reset and some are soft, and with acnh it's been a ride figuring what things reset.
How to catch them? Get lucky. The amount of time I had spent getting a Tuna and Marlin was ludicrous. And then my brother goes to the pier after I told him about it and he catches a Tuna after 4 casts. But seriously great and informative video.

I literally woke up today and it was raining in the game, I decided I’d start off the morning fishing, and I literally got a coelacanth on the first fish, I was beaming with excitement, and I even got a football fish right after, it’s not gonna be long until I catch the oarfish. Edit: I have a feeling I’m the luckiest person in new horizons, I just caught 2 coelacanths so far today and I’ve caught a total of 5 football fish, and if your confused that I haven’t caught an oarfish yet since I literally caught 3 coelacanths, you aren’t alone. :/
Ive caught 15 coelacanths just today while it was raining and I live for fishing and catching bugs. Like of I sell my coelacanths to CJ I get like 337,500 and I also have a numch of other big fish and a room full of scorpions so when Flick or CJ come im getting big bags of bells (thats a tonguetwister)
I don't know how, but on the first day of June (first day sharks come out) I caught a hammerhead and a suckerfish, and the next day, I caught two great whites and another hammerhead. What dumb luck is this :0

I struggle with the pier fish, and then JUST the Golden Trout. I hoard tons of bait, and then just sit for hoooours, and my luck with RNG proves to be very, very bad. I've actually had better luck hoarding tickets and finding them on island tours.

You only catch it without rain if you used fish bait :)
I dont take bait to the deserted islands (need pocket space) but using bait may work too

Balloon disappears when I go in and back out, so there's likely some sort of reset, but money spots do not reset and they will sit there for a time regardless. Some things are hard reset and some are soft, and with acnh it's been a ride figuring what things reset.
Anybody else caught hundreds of oarfish when hunting other rare fish?

Nope I try to hunt for oarfish but I just got every other fish except for the oarfish itself. Till this fucking day I just get sea basses
I caught 3 oarfish in a day when trying to catch a swordfish

How to catch them? Get lucky. The amount of time I had spent getting a Tuna and Marlin was ludicrous. And then my brother goes to the pier after I told him about it and he catches a Tuna after 4 casts.

Sometimes I have this problem when fishing. The little bulb thing on the fishing rod sinks as usual, and the sound effect changes when the fish bites the hook, but when I hold A to reel in, it still escapes and I don't get why. Any help?

I literally woke up today and it was raining in the game, I decided I’d start off the morning fishing, and I literally got a coelacanth on the first fish, I was beaming with excitement, and I even got a football fish right after, it’s not gonna be long until I catch the oarfish.
Edit: I have a feeling I’m the luckiest person in new horizons, I just caught 2 coelacanths so far today and I’ve caught a total of 5 football fish, and if your confused that I haven’t caught an oarfish yet since I literally caught 3 coelacanths, you aren’t alone. :/
Ive caught 15 coelacanths just today while it was raining and I live for fishing and catching bugs. Like of I sell my coelacanths to CJ I get like 337,500 and I also have a numch of other big fish and a room full of scorpions so when Flick or CJ come im getting big bags of bells (thats a tonguetwister)

I struggle with the pier fish, and then JUST the Golden Trout. I hoard tons of bait, and then just sit for hoooours, and my luck with RNG proves to be very, very bad. I've actually had better luck hoarding tickets and finding them on island tours.
