D'banj one advice for you - now you're about to start your DB records get help from people that can help you drive the people strategy i.e artist, admin, operations, Fin, IT etc - think about inclusiveness & diversity across the spectrum. There is unity & beauty in diversity with people with the right skills and competencies to value add! You can't do it all by yourself. Absolutely, I am horrified to hear D'Banj describe female music artistes as "bad" investment. The interviewer Toolz & ndaniTV team gave him the platform to demonstrate his brutishness. Everyone is unique. Gender doesn't guarantee success or failure i.e. Asa - she's successful. I'm disappointed about his comment because I reckon his travels should have given him useful exposure. I reckon he just demonstrated his prejudices and lack of education. I hope his PR team address this asap.SHOCKING

I found this interview interesting. I actually thought the contrary i.e. Dbanj dumped Donjazzy....but hey I was wrong. I have a different view of Dbanj's personality now. However, I would like some good music i.e. all elements of good music. I know you can do it Dbanj!

I agree with you to an extent, but I think Toolz pushed him to make those statements based on her definition of "friend". If you started from Part 1 you'd see what I'm saying. And D'Banj was sure to always emphasize that he was saying it based on her definition. So cut the guy some slack.

@nandimzanizi - D'banj strategy is to become a brand or icon both in Africa and aboard. I hear some Nigeria musicians speak, I'm extremely horrified. Their lack of communication and interpersonal skill is unacceptable. We all have prejudices but when you've a platform like the one D'banj has currently - you've to question and challenges your prejudices. D'banj can lost his Sony Records and other deals immediately for making the wrong comment i.e. Shabba Ranks. I hope they're open to feedback.
