I'm currently in the middle of deleting AC and depowering my steering rack. This was a great help to give me a quick run through on what needs to be done and where to find it without having to sit through a 30 minute video. Thanks for taking the time to make it!
I'm assuming that tube that was connected to the box was a condensation drane which is also what the 3rd plug is for I just finished doing this on my nb2 miata but I lost my plugs. I wish I could see how u disconnected your box. Because I just resulted in braking them.
This did help fs I just got my first ever car/project car last year a Miata and I just wrecked it now I’m fixing it up and while I was fixing my rad I found out my ac isn’t even connected that’s y it’s not working so im just taking it out this helped with how I should start for sure
I was able to disconnect the lines at the firewall and unbolt the compressor and get it all out in one shot. Took a lot of yanking and twisting but probably saved some time
Not sure about Miatas, but for the fb RX7, there are 2 belts; a power steering/ AC belt, and a dedicated alternator belt. You'll probably have an easier time since you can delete that belt entirely (no PS and no AC), just the alternator belt will be left
@@willg125 I know it’s been a while, but it’s the same with miatas. they have a belt for power steering/ac, and a different belt for alternator/water pump

My pleasure!
Used this video to install A/C! There's no installation guides so I did the steps in reverse haha. Thanks!
Glad it helped!
Did you add ac to a non ac car?
@@davidd6003 yes
@@aidanh4550im in the process of putting together a ac system for my non ac 94 r package did you need you need to add any electrical components??

Not sure why you cut out the a/c fan when you can just run the wires to temp fan and have them both come on
I could of, but its not necessary on stock power. Ran the car hard on a 90 degree day at the track all day no issues.
Weight reduction 🤭

Great video. Why your whiper fluid bottle is so small. Mine is huge. 91 na6

What if my NA doesnt have a power steering? Does that make this easier or harder?

What you said was M8x1.25x25 bolt in your video but on screen you added m8x1.25x45. What one is the correct bolt?
Oh and thank you for this video! Very helpful!
Pretty sure it's 45 not 25
Correct
@@Elad3000 thank you!
is heater still works and did you delete abs also ? thats look like m edition that come with abs
Still has the abs and heat!
heat uses your engine coolant to create heat in the cabin, so an AC delete will not change if you have heat.
Hey bro what size is the belt that you replaced longer one with
A standard miata ac less power steering belt
did you find out where the plug bolt needs to go?
Yes two of them went on the firewall side by the passenger footwell, but not where the third one went
@@garage_ninety_nine I meant the M8 x 1.25 bolt
@@allenmaracle7937 yepp at 3:48 I show it. It's the only threaded hole remaining after the bracket is removed
@@garage_ninety_nine The 5X Racing kit includes the third plug for deleting your cruise control.
@@hellofriendiamzach ahh and where is that one located?
Someone should do this for the nc.
Y did u put that bolt after removing the ac compressor?
If i remember correctly it is needed to plug a hole under where it sits
How'd you drain your ac coolant or did you not need to?
I did not need to. Mine was so unused that it must have all leaked out and didnt have any pressure when i removed it.
It should only cost about $40 to $50 at any good shop in the US
Does the defrost still work?
Yes the heater was untouched in the dash
what's the total weight savings?
Oh! Stupid me: 40.15lbs @ 9:30.
whats the size of the replacement belt??
Just go to your local auto parts store and grab a factory belt without ac. AC was an option in these vehicles.

Some light would be nice so i could see
I hope you’re replacing that radiator too.
I would have if i didnt sell it.
Great video man!
Thank you!
If someone is doing an NA delete i am looking for a kit let me know!
