he wasn't marking him, he was getting ready to counter just in case Moura somehow lost the ball. If so he would get a head start. This happens everywhere, a midfielder would pretend to mark you so you rush your ball handling/pass, and if by any chance you lost the ball, the man who was 'marking' you is already 20 steps ahead of you waiting for the ball.
