Just finished my first year at Pickup and I couldn’t be happier. Super diverse learning options and a helpful, supportive and friendly staff. As an older beginner who tried several online guitar learning platforms, Pickup Music is hands down the absolute best. This is also not an ad!
Yes they have great stuff! I think it would be so cool if they made a course about producing or how to use logic as a guitarist for example. I have to say that a big bonus point was the price when they startet. They were way cheaper than other instructional guitar websites.
I was lucky enought to sign up when they first started. I sign up for way too many sites anyway. I thought at the time they were too jazz-oriented and I would just try it. But they added much much more. Therefore I have a fixed legacy plan for a fraction of the current cost. There is too much there to complete, ever, but nice to have the choice.
I'm looking to become a better songwriter, not a lead guitarist or to solo. I write songs already and play mainly acoustic these days, but I think I want to focus on finger style acoustic and travis picking for awhile so I don't think pickup must is for me really I guess. Thanks for your honest review
They have an extensive fingerstyle learning pathway and are currently producing one for singer/songwriters. You don’t need to give a credit card for the free trial. I’ve just completed my first year with Pickup and I think they have something worthwhile for literally every type of guitarist. If nothing else, give the trial a go!
He prolly reached out to them, if I loved a product enough I’d want their support when I’m preaching their product. This is why athletes get into brand deals, artists wear certain fashion brands, and why are favorite guitar heroes use certain brands or instrument shapes.
The guy in the video speaks in music theory naming the exact chord. I’m OK with some of it- but I don’t know a lot. Can you learn theory and therefore why chords are named various names?
Wow 5 years? I didnt even know it even existed. I really like it it because its like having a teacher but like a fraction of the price plus like if i have nothing to play orn othing that interests me at that time it allows me to try something new or keeps me yeah busy practuising with something versus having nothing tio play once exhausted certsin songs or rhythms etc, Cheers I feel interested try out that CAGED one as I thought I did not need it but that exercise you showed actually really looks cool or like it could help me cheers. for sharing cheers.

Hey man, I really couldn't decide which online lessons to choose. You said you've tried other online schools, which one did you try?
They have the most amazing CAGED lesson that is free. Thinking of signing up. Thanks for this

Thanks for your comment Johnny, glad this video helped you find some more info!
"Unsponsored" ok but there's a referral code in the link so it's not a fully unbiaised review.
