First we will review the need to know basics of Pioneers of Pagonia before jumping into deeper gameplay impressions. The city builder Pioneers of Pagonia is all about exploration, discovery, and reuniting the fantastical islands of Pagonia. Build over 40 different buildings, use more than 70 different types of goods, manage widely branched production chains, and get creative in establishing your economy.

The point of a review, as can be seen in the title of the video, is: Is the game worth your time and money?
Slapping "Early Access" or Beta Or Alpha onto a game doesn't change the question since the developers are asking for your time and money.
Alot of reviewers / early access apologist often fail to see that.
Good review. I feel the same way. It's missing something. For me the go-to game to scratch a Settlers itch is The Colonists.
Amazing to watch!
I played the demo and honestly liked the vision. But the point of “it doesn’t feel like a game” is spot on. Its the only reason I haven’t purchased the early access yet. I do like the potential but I hope the work on making the expense more of a game than tending to a garden.
I feel like they pushed it out before Christmas to get in on the holiday traffic. The base & tools are there now they just need to add in the game content.

First 10 seconds I noticed the backing track: risk of rain? nice touch
I have yet to decide to about the game, but I decided to give this review only max. one thirds of my attention of every minute it takes. I might change that when the 1.0 comes out.
Anyway, I can understand the critics. So far and as seen on other reviews, the game seems to need quite some more time in the oven.
Hope it comes to console too .
This is supposed to be a new Settlers 1 game. There wont be any real enemies.
The problem with the new settlers game is that there is no point in it.
Its neither a settlers game (deep logistics) and also neither a ano game (higher complexity)
Cities Skylines meets Timberborn
They should finish the game before releasing it like settlers rise of an empire.
Just played Settlers II 10th Anniversary and I love it. This game looks shit.
Very slow and very boring. Pretty but not mysterious. There is no urgency in this game.
Don’t think that’s a flaw really. It’s just a more relaxed experience.
@ahmadsyazwan9693 it's a real shame that designers are more concerned with money making and the art of gaming is gone. I am hoping manor lords will bring a new breathe into things.

Have you been living under a rock? Early access is almost always full priced. I mean, you get the full game after it releases. You just also get it early. That's kind of the entire point!
I'm a late access buyer. After all the patches and fixes, on sale for $4.99. I'll let the early access buyers have their fun in the sun.

Much better than Settlers new allies ,but still has a long way to go to live uip to the Settlers legacy.
