And the weasels knew they still have those advantages. Make no mistake about it. Those who stay, will just be cheaters for life!
😂😂😂 yes blame connor stallions for being soft in the trenches! But yet a 7-5 michigan team beat the national champions on their field as a 3 td underdog!
@ was just thinking about your coach’s comment about Day was born on third base. If that’s the case, what does one make of your program and coach? Oh yes, your entire program and school was born from 45 feet from home base. After all, you already know “in advance” that pitcher is not checking you on third base, am I right? And let us not forget, your cheating coach and staff lost 5 in a row, until he said no mas, let’s wave the Covid flag, and hire some loser that dress up like a football staff cheerleader to steal signals along the way. But hey, you do you and stay classy!
I was at the game in New Orleans Coach Meyer! I brought my daughter who was 9 at the time. As a former Buckeye Alumni Softball player living in Hoover, AL this was special. We were exhausted from screaming just at halftime. I enjoyed dip n dots with Ms Shelly. The throw from Evan Spencer to Michael Thomas to put us within one by halftime, we knew we were winning. This was the game that answered THE CHASE!
Even as an OSU alum, I will never count 1970. (Love those guys, went to all the home games.) They won a writer's award--- in December! On January 1, they got whooped by Jim Plunkett and Stanford. Nebraska should be the only school with a legit claim to the 1970 title.
@@fredkruse9444osu could claim 98 but don't. Could claim other natties as well and don't. Meanwhile Alabama claims a natty in a season with 3 losses and espn never fails to count that one when listing thier numbers. These new Era natties are much more substantial they have to win it on the field. Even the bcs Era had some head scratchers and other teams that could've won a natty and arguably should've gotten a chance.
@jeffreyprice9790 yes you can claim that many, but the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision Records publication lists polls and awards it used / recognized for its pre-BCS list of national champs. There are many pre-BCS years with multiple champs on its list .
@jeffreyprice9790 more trivia: Alabama was undefeated in 1966, but is not on the NCAA's list. (Notre Dame and Michigan State were 1 and 2. They played each other and tied 10 - 10.)

We likely go back to back 2014 and 2015 if we had a 12 team playoff then. Hell if we always had a 12 team playoff there's no telling how many we'd have now. Shouldve beaten uga 2 years ago got hosed by refs against clemson in 2019. Osu definitely left some chips on the table.
The refereeing in the Clemson semi-final was a criminal act. The referees should have paid a 6-figure fine and sat in jail for 5 years (each) for that travesty of justice.
I think for some years, the big rivalry games might end up being a little less meaningful than they were historically but, I think that they will also have certain years where the end of season rivalry will still carry that, ”This is it. This is your last chance to get in the big dance”, type of feeling and weight to it. For a hypothetical example, let’s say both teams come in that game with having already lost 2 games each, and their only realistic chance to get in the bracket, is to win that game. Unless of course it ends up with one of those absurd weekends where nearly everyone around them in the rankings gets upset. Which does happen in college ball, but it’s so hard to try and depend on that to help you get in. So I think that the rivalry games have to remain the final game, and I think they will still naturally always carry some of that historical weight. Some years it will potentially carry just as much, if not more, than it has historically.
You guys are awesome. Great podcast. I agree with all the commentary about keeping the criticism to play. No ONE should fear to go home or travel around because people are threatening. That’s Bull. They play games and entertain. Keep things in perspective people.

How watered down is the value of “The Game” when these situations can easily happen any given year?
So many rival fans with fake accounts say awful things. I’ve met coach many times and watched nate play little league and nobody in Dublin was running their soup cooler when I saw him. Shelly make the best Rhubarb pie ever.
Wow, great stories coach and Mark. THE game’s importance doesn’t seem to be in trouble.
