I really like this 62 GS case. I have a couple of the vintage 62gs which are smaller and thinner, like all my other vintage gs/ks. I like them for what they are. Yes, though, the modern ones are bigger and thicker, there are also more robust and rugged, and, they do wear smaller than the dimensions suggest, especially, when i wear them with straps. I also like the 39mm elegance series. If the dome glass is taken into consideration, they are thin enough. This is better than than the 37mm sbgw series, which wear a bit small, like the vintage.
AMAZING video!! I LOVE the Hi-beat, I LOVE the true GS "grammar of design" that the case has, I LOVE the level of finishing and the color scheme, but GS really has to make their watches THINNER!!! It is really the ONLY reason I am not hunting one and why I find my vintage KS 4502 still better looking and better balanced than any of the modern GS watches.
the gs hi beat is a 36000, 10beats per second mvmt, making the second hand dancing in harmony. eta variations are running at 28.000 with 6beats per second, while rolex mvmt is running at 8 beats per sec, none of them except zenith el primero reaching the hi beat, at 10 beats. the hi beat watches are more expensive then 9s65 (8 beats) and spring drive, it is the flagship movement of grand seiko. it is one of the best automatic movements in the watch industry.
Retrospectively, I would say the SBGH269 is more appropriate to be the "Autumn" in this series, that said, this is still a lovely watch without a doubt. BTW, so far the most stunning blue dials I've ever seen must be the FPJ Chronometre Blue and the De Bethune DB25 Starry Varius.
Printing the lion logo on back glass is bad idea because it blocks the clear view to the movement. GS should stop doing this, it's just annoying. Also 20mm lug width instead of 21mm would have been much better. The dial and case design are otherwise nice.
This watch does mot look this good on person. Got to be careful with these perfectly professional photography shots. Camera work is so good anything looks good.
Just me or do you wish that the didn't put their logo over the caseback so we could fully see the movement unhindered?
I wish they didn't! However, that said I understand why it's there from a historical stand point. Thanks for watching Henry!
Drinking coffee and talking watches on Facebook this watch on blue leather is awesome
I like grand seiko snowflake spring drive and can you also tell the material is it stainless steel or titanium.
Wow only channel with actual video of all seasons in the collection! Subbed
Glad to have you buddy!
The caseback sticker should not be there, otherwise it’s perfect.

Thanks for watching brother! I usually mind the thickness, but in this case it gives it a more casual vibe which I absolutely love!
Thin watch look more classy not to mention all the expensive watches are thinner?
What do you think of the SBGH269 ? Normally not a fan of red dials but that one looks STUNNING!
Absolutely stunning! They nailed that red dial perfectly 👍
Beautiful watch. I love the winter best.
Winter review coming up soon! Added it to my personal collection 👍
how about SBGJ235
Should I trade my explorer 214270 for this grand seiko ?
No
Love the dial on this thing!
Thanks for watching bro!
Very nice watch, but isn't this the SBGH273 not the 271?
Yes you are right! My bad, fixed the issue 👍 Thanks for watching buddy!
Koniciva grand seiko 👍
I really wish they would have offered all four with a choice of movements

The hi beat movements are a marvel, but I love the spring drive.
@@stelugud Most ETA variations are mostly 28,800 VPH, which is true, but that's 8 beats per second, just like the Rolex.
6 BpS == 21,600 VPH.
Do you know lug to lug measurement?
21mm
So are these models to stay or are they limited? Thanks
Here to stay as of now, they are limited production yearly not limited editions
How does the steel case feel in comparison to the titanium of winter and spring?
Definitely a lot heavier but in terms of looks it's exactly the same! I will say the steel models feel a lot sturdier for sure.
@Cool Crush Ice Killa Yes, I'm just talking about how it feels. Titanium feels extremely light so it feels less sturdy even tho that isn't the case.
Good video

Have yet to check out an FP! Hopfully soon, that said I have a few independents I'll be reviewing very soon!
