No. Ouf the strong styling (too heavily) addressed to suggest Italian heritage, which I consider superficial cosmetics, it is visible the recessed position of the front axle, synonym of native front wheel drive. This doesn't favour a prestige lineage of rear whell drive.

The current Giulia's quality and long term reliability is actually pretty good. From what I've read about them, they really don't have many problems, after the first few model years. And they don't have catastrophic engine or transmission failures. But I have read that here in the US, they don't have a very good dealer service network.
To put it in perspective, I do all my own maintenance and repairs, and I would not buy any BMWs, Mercedes, or Audis because of their poor reliability and durability, but I would buy a Giulia. I almost bought a used TI, and now wish I did. Here, used turbo fours are really cheap because everyone is scared of Alfas due to their well-deserved shitty reputation.
