It's great to see that somewhere in the world there are serious consequences for illegal activities and that people aren't getting off with technicalities! In addition it's great to see officers eager to do the work they were hired for. This is often not the case in North America from what I've observed.

People who are on government welfare shouldn't have to pay fine. Because the money they pay comes from tax payers so essentially they are paying a fine with someone else's money. They should be sent to prison instead.

When giving serious criminals home detention and community service they realize that crime pays well in NZ. Why stop when there are no real consequences?
