@@CardboardCosplay Question can the Mysterio Helmet Centre Box also be used for making an ideal base for the Mr Freeze Costume for the Batman cosplay as I am looking to hopefully create something similar like this for my own take on the Batman cosplay
How is it to see out of? I’m guessing it’s more something to just wear for photos and not the best for seeing out? Do you reckon if you could get a clear beach ball, you could coat it in PVA glue until it becomes solid?
You can see out of it! Visibility is not the best, but I was able to see everything around me. There's a clip at the end of the video that shows what it looks like looking through the mask. As for just using a beach ball....I don't think that would be sturdy enough. You'd probably need a ton of layers of glue in order to make it stiff, and by that time all the glue will probably make everything look foggy. You could use an acrylic globe....I've seen a bunch of people use that. Hope that helps!
Hi. Thanks! I'm not planning to make the full costume right now, but maybe in the future. I just don't have the time to do full costumes for everything!
I'm making the mystery helmet, but I'm afraid of the sight, can you see with little holes ?? the circumference and curves inside the helmet do not disturb the vision ??
Hi. You can definitely see through the holes, but it isn't 100% clear. There's a clip at the end of the video that shows what the visibility is like with the helmet on. However, I was able to walk around wearing it without bumping into anything. If you're worried about not being able to see, you can always drill more tiny holes to increase visibility or you could even cut a bigger hole and cover it with a screen. I hope that answers your question!
Do you think it is safe to do this without a beach ball, cause I’m trying to do mine’s with a big bouncy ball, like the ones in party city. Any advice?
You should be able to use any ball that you can deflate because you need to remove that ball once the paper mache dries. So if the bouncy ball can deflate, you'd be able to use that. If it can't, you might be able to cut the ball with scissors and pull it out. Spherical balloons work too. I hope that helps! Let me now if you have any other questions. Also, I thought I replied earlier today....I must have not hit 'reply' before I clicked away. Sorry for just liking your comment earlier. Didn't mean to leave you hanging.
i am doing a pro cosplay costume of mysterio but im only 12 years old and i live in Denmark so it would be hell to get a acrylic dome but now i dont need an acrilic dome i just need newspapers.
Nice! Yeah, that's the whole point of my channel - that you can make cool looking costumes out of cardboard and recycled materials. Let me know how yours turns out!
My pleasure! I bought the beach ball from Party City. When I bought it, they had a few different sizes and designs. I almost bought a Spider-Man one haha.
Thanks! Sure. If you want it to be transparent, I'd recommend buying a clear acrylic globe. I've seen them online for around $30-40 (USD). I'd recommend getting a 12 inch one...it will be snug but should fit most adult sized heads. I think the next size up is 14 inches. For reference, the beach ball I used in this video is 13 inches and I had a little extra room in mine. Anyway, after you get the globe, you will need to use a dremel or saw to cut an opening big enough to fit your head so you can take the helmet on and off. To "color" it, a lot of people spray paint it with 1 way mirror space, stuff cotton batting in the helmet, or do a mix of both. It kinds of gives it a swirly smoke cloud look. Anyway, hope that helps! Good luck if you decide to make it with a clear plastic globe.
Hello, I'm actually trying to create a cosplay of the devil from cuphead, and I need a sphere base for the head, just like this, but I don't know if papier mache is good because it doesn't look very solid, also, I will need to sew fake fur on if and other fabrics, can anyone tell me if papier mache is good or if another material should be great? thank you
Wow Steven thank you youfinallly you made a Mysterio helmet that I've been waiting for a days I hope you made a magneto helmet like my technic with a ball and cardboard
dude this is awesome i was planning on buying one but they are hella expensive as i already spent 100 dollars just on the jumpsuit from zentai zone lol thanks so much for this tutorial. Much appreciated :)
I think that would work. I've used a chrome spray paint on other props and it was pretty shiny. Just make sure to do a layer of black or primer first before the silver. And do it in light coats, allowing each coat to dry before adding the next.
Yeah, I've never seen that before either. I think it's a cool idea. A broken dome would look awesome, especially if his chest armor had scorch marks....kind of like if he got shot with a laser beam or something.
Hi. The process would be the same with a bigger ball, you will just need to make the "metal" ring around it bigger so it matches. You can do any size, just gotta be careful to keep all the other pieces of the costume in proportion. Good luck!
@@CardboardCosplay Idk yet I still have a lot of time and possibilities, one of my favorites is the TASM 1 costume, which I almost bought this year for comic con. But I kinda love the idea with the battle damaged Mysterio helmet. I'll see what I can do.

good job of the helmet and you can reuse old newspaper good job dude

I think you can get a glass dome and fill it with plush stuffing and use a one of those chrome faceless masks
