I´m sorry, I just have to ask this, been bothering me since the episode aired: Does he actually say: "That´s where I stand, where I stand!" ? Isn´t it supposed to be "That´s WHY I stand, where I stand!" or am I stupid and not getting the grammar here?
ChanCeNecK he says "that's where I stand... and where I stand... is where I fall." The grammar is perfectly okay. He doesn't actually say the word "and" but that's because it's spoken as two seperate sentences said very quickly after each other.
I was in tatters to see Bill wailing on the fallen Doctor. I admit I was never truly a big fan of Clara but Bill in 1 series became 1 of my favourite companions and she was genuinely amazing and I was more sad in her final sequence here than the Christmas miracle/Regeneration farewell sequence in the Christmas special
"Why am I getting so emotional?" Because Peter Capaldi is the best damn Doctor we've had since the great William Hartnell, that's why! I'm so looking forward (with reluctance, of course!) to Christmas! My two favourite Doctors in one! I agree that no one can replace Hartnell, but I'm still filled with joy watching Richard Hurndall in the Five Doctors, and I was today upon seeing David Bradley.
David. 17.02 i could acctualy agree with this, tennant and baker (tom) are just below capaldi, sure he has had shite episodes but he was still one of the best
Jack Campbell Wait Tennant is behind Capaldi... A little???? ... wtf Tennant is 1, Capaldi is actually 2 since he's shockingly grown on me, then baker.
Jack Campbell Capaldi speech at the end of this episode was awesome, but there the only great speeches I know of, believe it or not but I'm not just being a Tennant fan boy, but he had the best speeches.
"i don't wan't to go! i will remember...when the doctor...when the doctor... was me? when the doctor was me!" that line broke me honestly. i swear to god if we dont get all of moffets main characters in the christmas special...we need 11,12 and thirteen with amy rory,...clara and bill and oh yeah the first doctor that would be an amazing fianle to moffetts reign.
William Russel the actor of the doctors first human companion is also still alive named Ian Chesterton. Fascinatingly he is the head of the school Clara was a teacher in. John Barrowman would also be a nice addition.
Your reactions to The Doctor Falls are the best I've seen since my own cheerful thrill, which I should have recorded, from seeing Alpha-Centauri's surprise cameo return. Season 10 gets my nod for the best full-season of Dr. Who since Seasons 13 and 18 of the classic series. Thanks, Lauren. Peace. ☮️
What a twist if Capaldi stay's. Never going to happen, but I'd be happy. But I guess the whole point of the show is to reflect real life which is about uncontrollable change whether you want it or not.
Missy knew to have the extra circuit, maybe she knew to be prepared for a back shot. Now we need Sean Pertwee to play his father the third Doctor. Love your reactions!! Sadly can't find any Whovian ladies in states with your Passion.
I enjoyed your reaction...you're the one of about four or five that i look at after I have seen the episode. Peter Capaldi is an amazing actor and it's a shame to see him go. I don't think he is is as appreciated as he should be A great episode and he will be missed. I think you got the emotions correct and it's such a loss that he is leaving. Thank you for sharing your reaction with us. :)
Paul Fernandez shes one of my favourite reactors right now because shes the only one who said that this wasnt as good as the episode before, and she can criticise it, theres a lot of doctor who fans who just because everyone had a happy ending they would be happy with the ep which is pretty wrong
“One day I shall come back. Yes, I shall come back. Until then, there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties. Just go forward in all your beliefs and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine.”
your now my go to doctor who reactor. The Gf was crying for at least 50% of the episode. When they started doing the 4th doctor companions pre regeneration. I absolutely freaked out.
nice one Lauren and from one girl to another I took an emotional breakdown because of this episode I felt like I'd been told my whole family was dead and this episode was one of my all time favorites. Loved your reaction I really can't wait for the Christmas episode but at the same time I really don't want peter to go. I think I've fallen for him as the doctor such a beautiful doctor portrayed the character perfectly. :) xx
Have you seen the Doctor Who docudrama “An Adventure in Space and Time”, where David Bradley plays William Hartnell playing the doctor? It was so touching. When I saw him again as #1 I confess I wished I could watch that again. I highly recommend it.
The Doctors have always had a background character I feel, one that fits them the most. Peter is definitely the Mad Hatter of the Doctors...he is THE Doctor....you might say. He's my favourite, can't wait for the special...going to be sad to see him go.
Love your videos, they're so much more genuine than other reaction videos. While I was watching the finale last night, I kept wondering how you'd handle certain scenes :)
Loved your Reactions to, in my opinion, the best Episode of Season 10. I completely enjoyed this Episode and there was a lot of heart felt sense in the dialogue.
Here is an idea for a new Doctor Who spinoff drama series which I call (Beyond the Tardis). Other spinoffs have been somewhat restricted by having to rely on such things as a regular cast and being set in one place and time. Beyond the Tardis would have a different cast each week and be set anywhere in space and time. One week you could have a story about a previous companion and what they’ve been up to since leaving the Doctor’s side. The next you could have an origin story explaining why Davros ended up in a wheelchair, why the Sontarans start cloning themselves and what life was like for the Silurians before they went into hibernation. Plus there would be prequel and sequel stories relating to any of the past Doctor Who seasons, even those from the original run. You could have a story set before the Doctor turns up in London during the Dalek occupation, then have one set years after he saved the Roman family in the story (The Fires of Pompeii). The possibilities for this type of series are endless and give a writer the chance to let their imagination run wild. The Doctor wouldn’t be seen in it; though you may get to see the Tardis dematerialize at the start of a story and materialize at the end of one. Trev from East London.
Completely agree with sentiments expressing the wish to retain Peter. I can understand the impatience he probably developed with how the BBC has treated the show. Having been through an operation that entailed my heart being turned off for a number of hours I really can empathize with The Doctor wanting to avoid change/suspension of existence.
I cannot wait for David Bradley in the Christmas special. He might not be Hartnell but hes pretty damn close. I guess Kris Marshall will have to wait till xmas. Just hope theres no zoe ball cringe fest reveal show this year. I was over the moon when i thought we were gonna get a regeneration without it being revealed /leaked.
I'm wondering when Capaldi will change in the episode. There are two scenarios: 1: the 1st is also about to regenerate (if he's on the South Pole as I suspect), and so is the 12th, they can both come to terms with the change. 2: the regeneration will happen early and 1 is going to help 13 through her first hours.
I loved the way they kept Bill as Bill rather than CyberBill Looks like the first Regeneration of this generation meets the first doctor for his regeneration
This felt like the end of an era. And I always wanted Bill to find Heather again (or vice versa). Yeah, that is a good way for the Master to go, although I wouldn't count that particular Time Lord out just yet.
Just came across your channel and subscribed! Really enjoying your reactions to Doctor Who. Have you seen much of the original series? Would be fun to see your reaction to some of those while we wait for new Who... Also, have you ever listened to any of the Big Finish stories? There are a lot of them on Spotify now!
when you said you cried for four hours when David regenerated into Matt I was honestly like "SAME!" that destroyed me and I honestly don't know how I will be at Christmas! Bloody loved Peter the whole time! Probably another Christmas ruined by the BBC.... last time that happened for me it was Merlin 😅 Don't be sorry for being emotional, you are not alone...... oh shit that was an accidental reference 😅
Awesome review. Very similar reaction to mine. Don't agree with you about Bill staying a Cyberman - I think that would be a terrible finale! I loved the way they wrapped it back to the first episode. (For once Moffat didn't get too carried away with an excessively convoluted subplot.)
The Master stays never dead. And missy as she was aware of the circuit could be aware of her dead. She could have planned something but properly will not appear next season.
They were deliberately vague about whether Missy is the next Master after Simm, we also didn't actually see Missy die (we just saw her dying, which isn't quite the same thing), probably to leave it open for future show runners to bring the character back.
She couldn't regenerate. That's absolute. What they can really toy with is the Master's regeneration and maybe if there is a Master in between him and Missy, regenerate from that Master into Missy (thus bringing her back)
yeah I feel like Capaldi got cheated out of being the Doctor with it being off air for so long during his run, I haven't had enough of him as the Doctor I liked Capaldi's doctor.
he said on a talk show they finished his death scene months ago, they did all episodes they just need the christmas episode to make he gave the reason WHY HE WANTED to leave the show, it was british show i think graham nortan show??? i wish the man rip hunter from legends of tomorrow would be new doctor he is AMAZING as a time lord on dc's legends of tomorrow last episode of season he gave a female control and he left hoped he was gonna be the new doctor but i sadly doubt it but still hold hope!!
Today's episode was pretty much the end of the time lords (The Doctor & The Master) until the end :O It was pretty cool, but kind of sad that Capaldi's Doctor doesn't know Bill survived :( I wonder if this means Capaldi could regenerate into the 1st again? As The Curator told Matt Smith's Doctor that some familiar faces would reappear, this could be the start :O
I think they'll both be working through their reluctance to regenerate together and we'll get a "double" regeneration at the end, although hopefully we don't get the first Doctor regenerating with all the pyro and ballyhoo that "new Who" Doctors ge, I presume a side-effect of the potion 8 was given by the sisters of Karn). I also don't know whether 75 year old David Bradley would be in the best shape for a full series of Doctor Who.
Don't count The Master er... Missy out. She showed her cards that she did in fact remember how she changed. So that leads me to believe she turned her back on the Master knowing full well what was about to happen. So that leads me to believe she was laughing because he failed in trying to kill her because she was ready for him. By the way, Caught your video because my DVR failed and I missed out the last 3 minutes. It was nice to see that ending and not feel I was seeing it alone.
And very surprised by your comment that this weeks episode was not as good as last week. It was clearly better than that very good episode. Opinions that differ are good of course.
I agree with her in that this episode wasn't as good as episode 11, but it was still a very, very good episode that proved to be a perfect ending to series 10.
Wow... I had suspected that Heather would return for Bill, but never caught on to Heather's tears. Not sure how I feel about Master/Missy - tragic/farce? Anyway, loved it
At that point sure but for me his speech (beautifully delivered by Peter Capaldi, as always) about why he fights did it. "And above all, it's kind. Just that. Just kind.". To quote another great writer: “Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'” I suspect the Doctor and Kurt Vonnegut would've got on pretty well.
While I wish Capaldi could stay, this has been an amazing season, with Bill a perfect companion for him, I would like to hope David Morrissey could be the next Doctor. Because they're going to need a very good actor to take over from where Capaldi left off, he did a fine job.
I agree with you about not having Bradley and nothing against him or his acting but like everyone's fav doctor to sum up Bradley is to say he is perfect ....As the caretaker of hogworts but not as the companion of the tardis. I hope Bradley is just in it for the Christmas special to show himself that it's good to change. I personally thought I didn't like capoldi at first and for his first season it seamed as tho he was trying to be tom baker but he grew and became his doctor and I think and hope he does stay, and it's not going to happen but wish at Christmas special he does a tennent and uses the regeneration energy to heal himself and and then pass the rest of the energy into Bradley.
I'm surprised that no one has noticed the obvious. To me at least, and I may be wrong. David Bradley, who is playing the first Doctor, is the new Doctor. That is why he is in the Christmas special.
It's not impossible but it looks a lot like 12 has dropped in on 1 during 'The Tenth Planet', which was his last adventure. In fact, it could even be that they meet when 1 is on his way back to his TARDIS to regenerate, so this would be pretty much the worst time to become the 1st Doctor ;).
+RavenThom _Clearly_ they meet, we see that happen in 'The Doctor Falls'. I mean it _might_ be when 1 is returning to his TARDIS to regenerate (or it might be at some other point in either 'The Tenth Planet' or some other adventure - let's be honest though, it's 'The Tenth Planet', i'd bet my last pound on it ;).
I am sad to see Capaldi go as The Doctor. I feel his Doctor didn't really get a fair shake. For the first two seasons; he had the unfortunate duty of becoming himself, and babysitting a companion who turned to shite after he regenerated, and only got worse as his run went on. I loved Clara at the end of Smith's run; but she was ruined in Capaldi's seasons.
Lauren McGinty great. Check out the other doctor ep i did. Ok i sneaked you in! But you did such a lovely reaction in brought tears to my eyes whilst editing! Really ernest love you have for the show x
The fucking Heather DEUS-EX-MACHINA really upset me!! But everything else about this episode was just perfect! So fuck it, what? Do you think I´m gonna give this a 9/10 now?? Fuck no, this is a 10/10 episode! Fuck minor inconsistencies!!!
OMG, I just realized, I always understood "Does that feel good to you?" WRONG! Bill asks "Am I dead?" and then she just kisses her! I always thought she should´ve replied "Does that feel DEAD to you?" ! WHICH IS, *IN FACT* , WHAT HAPPENED!!! ALL THE TIME!!! (God, I´m dumb.....)
2:22 Another Star Trek reference. Will they all be explained at some point? 11:40 Very true, but William Hartnell was unavailable due to work on "special projects" Nice reaction!
LOVED the look on your face when the Doctor was giving his "because it's kind" speech. Capaldi delivered it so well.
Peter Capaldi was born to play The Doctor.
I´m sorry, I just have to ask this, been bothering me since the episode aired: Does he actually say: "That´s where I stand, where I stand!" ?
Isn´t it supposed to be "That´s WHY I stand, where I stand!" or am I stupid and not getting the grammar here?
ChanCeNecK he says "that's where I stand... and where I stand... is where I fall."
The grammar is perfectly okay. He doesn't actually say the word "and" but that's because it's spoken as two seperate sentences said very quickly after each other.
I see. Thanks for explaining, so I think my confusion wasn´t so inappropriate after all...
I cried too when he did his "Just Kind" speech. David Capaldi is so great!
Peter Capaldi is the best actor and person in the world to play the Doctor. Don't rage. Facts.
only another Scot could pull off Tennants line. I don't want to go
I was in tatters to see Bill wailing on the fallen Doctor. I admit I was never truly a big fan of Clara but Bill in 1 series became 1 of my favourite companions and she was genuinely amazing and I was more sad in her final sequence here than the Christmas miracle/Regeneration farewell sequence in the Christmas special

Electroshock Therapy for the Soul lol "The Best Doctor since William Hartnell" oh piss off.
David. 17.02 i could acctualy agree with this, tennant and baker (tom) are just below capaldi, sure he has had shite episodes but he was still one of the best
David. 17.02 can we atleast admit that capaldi has had the best speeches?
Jack Campbell Wait Tennant is behind Capaldi... A little???? ... wtf Tennant is 1, Capaldi is actually 2 since he's shockingly grown on me, then baker.
Jack Campbell Capaldi speech at the end of this episode was awesome, but there the only great speeches I know of, believe it or not but I'm not just being a Tennant fan boy, but he had the best speeches.
Bill's reaction to seeing the Doctor's body gets me every damn time :(
"i don't wan't to go! i will remember...when the doctor...when the doctor... was me? when the doctor was me!" that line broke me honestly. i swear to god if we dont get all of moffets main characters in the christmas special...we need 11,12 and thirteen with amy rory,...clara and bill and oh yeah the first doctor that would be an amazing fianle to moffetts reign.

Sonic-proof corset and hotpants-that's my thinking...
Great job all series long. Like having another Whovian buddy freaking out in the room.
I enjoyed your reaction...you're the one of about four or five that i look at after I have seen the episode. Peter Capaldi is an amazing actor and it's a shame to see him go. Jake Everyone had a happy ending? I must have watched the wrong episode. 😉
Mark Zimmerman everyone survived so yeh
I loved when they Got the Jelly Baby in that Episode
“One day I shall come back. Yes, I shall come back. Until then, there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties. Just go forward in all your beliefs and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine.”
We are with you. We don't want him to go. Love your reaction.
Thank guys :) Love your reactions too
"I don't wanna go."
"I am the Doctor and the Doctor was me."
MY GOD.
And now we have to wait ALL THE WAY UNTIL CHRISTMAS to find out what happens! Good thing Game of Thrones is coming back in a couple weeks!
your now my go to doctor who reactor. The Gf was crying for at least 50% of the episode. When they started doing the 4th doctor companions pre regeneration. I absolutely freaked out.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a fucking PERFECT two-parter!!!!!! Took you only 10 years, Moffat!!! Now you´re gonna rest in peace!....
Love your reactions! I felt terrible watching Capaldi getting jolted around by the Cybermen. Looking forward to the First Doctor at Christmas time.
Nice reaction Lauren, I'm a 34 year old male and I shed a tear through this. Look forward to the Xmas special!
nice one Lauren and from one girl to another I took an emotional breakdown because of this episode I felt like I'd been told my whole family was dead and this episode was one of my all time favorites. Loved your reaction I really can't wait for the Christmas episode but at the same time I really don't want peter to go. Have you seen the Doctor Who docudrama “An Adventure in Space and Time”, where David Bradley plays William Hartnell playing the doctor? It was so touching. When I saw him again as #1 I confess I wished I could watch that again. I highly recommend it.
Yup seen that when it first aired and cried
I know, such a heartbreakingly touching story. Can't wait till Christmas to see him again. Going to need a whole box of tissues though. *sigh*
Love it! Never been more excited for a Christmas special
Thanks Lauren. Great reaction as always. See you Christmas!
best reaction I've seen so far. always looking forward to these reactions.
Thank you for sharing your Reaction. It was touching and heartwarming Thank you so much. I agree with you 100% Peter is Brilliant as the Doctor :)
Thanks for the reaction! One of my favourite episodes of all time. I don't want Capaldi to go :(
It's been really. nice to see ur reaction on this holy episode
The Doctors have always had a background character I feel, one that fits them the most. Peter is definitely the Mad Hatter of the Doctors...he is THE Doctor....you might say. He's my favourite, can't wait for the special...going to be sad to see him go.
i love your reaction near the end. im a grown man an not afraid to admit i cried.
The Sontarans line was something Four mumbled just after regenerating, and something Twelve said in Listen.
Don't worry kid, every whovian in the world got emotional. Yours truly shed a couple of tears. Especially with some brilliant lines from Capaldi.
I so agree with you. Peter is my Doctor!
The idea that Bill can't see herself as a Cyberman is reminiscent of 'Oswin' in "Asylum Of The Daleks"! Nice touch.
Yes i thought of the same exact thing!
Here is an idea for a new Doctor Who spinoff drama series which I call (Beyond the Tardis). Great reaction and great episode, it's nuts this episode has effected reactors pretty much the same way lol, see you for the xmas special 😎

I guess Kris Marshall will have to wait till xmas. Just hope theres no zoe ball cringe fest reveal show this year. I was over the moon when i thought we were gonna get a regeneration without it being revealed /leaked.
Luke Treadaway if Christopher Eccleston is to be believed, or Patterson Joseph if the bookmakers' odds are anything to go by.
I enjoyed the Trenzalore fake out with Bill stating that putting him in the Tardis is the best resting place for the Doctor.
Yowzah! You are perfect. Good to see a fan who FEELS
Love your videos, look forward to Christmas.
that was like me i was in floods of tears with this ep for nearly the full episode
Love your reaction, the only one to cry in the Doctor-Master faceoff
I loved the way they kept Bill as Bill rather than CyberBill
Looks like the first Regeneration of this generation meets the first doctor for his regeneration
capaldi was the best doctor in New who in my opinion. at least we have the Christmas special to look forward too
and damn you met capaldy in person you lucky girl
This felt like the end of an era. And I always wanted Bill to find Heather again (or vice versa). Yeah, that is a good way for the Master to go, although I wouldn't count that particular Time Lord out just yet.

you're the cutest thing i've ever seen ! and i've seen baby hamsters, so that's saying something lol
love your reactions :D
"No stars. I thought there'd be stars."
when you said you cried for four hours when David regenerated into Matt I was honestly like "SAME!" that destroyed me and I honestly don't know how I will be at Christmas! Although, we didn't SEE The Master regenerate into Missy...
Good point. Maybe he regnerates into someone else and then that Master regenerates into Missy. Shame, though. I quite liked Missy.
The Master stays never dead. And missy as she was aware of the circuit could be aware of her dead. She could have planned something but properly will not appear next season.

It's not the forst time The Master came back after being specifically stated that the couldn't. Like in the movie with 8th.
Lol, the pitch battle in the background after xd
Probably my fav of your reactions.
I'm going to cry when Capaldi actually regenerates in the Christmas special. 🙁
yeah I feel like Capaldi got cheated out of being the Doctor with it being off air for so long during his run, I haven't had enough of him as the Doctor I liked Capaldi's doctor.
i enjoyed your season ten videos looking forward to the xmas ep now yay the 1st doctor is back.
he said on a talk show they finished his death scene months ago, they did all episodes they just need the christmas episode to make he gave the reason WHY HE WANTED to leave the show, it was british show i think graham nortan show??? i wish the man rip hunter from legends of tomorrow would be new doctor he is AMAZING as a time lord on dc's legends of tomorrow last episode of season he gave a female control and he left hoped he was gonna be the new doctor but i sadly doubt it but still hold hope!!
11: "Doctor was me"
12: "Doctor is me"
Another great video, Lauren 😀
Today's episode was pretty much the end of the time lords (The Doctor & The Master) until the end :O
It was pretty cool, but kind of sad that Capaldi's Doctor doesn't know Bill survived :(
I wonder if this means Capaldi could regenerate into the 1st again? As The Curator told Matt Smith's Doctor that some familiar faces would reappear, this could be the start :O

I also don't know whether 75 year old David Bradley would be in the best shape for a full series of Doctor Who.
I adore your passion. Quite lovely.
Anyway, loved it
I cried too
AND NOW IM DOING IT AGAIN
best reaction i've seen on utube.
at that point where the cyberman shoots him, I started getting emotional too....
At that point sure but for me his speech (beautifully delivered by Peter Capaldi, as always) about why he fights did it. "And above all, it's kind. Just that. Just kind.". To quote another great writer:
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-'God damn it, you've got to be kind.'”
I suspect the Doctor and Kurt Vonnegut would've got on pretty well.
I cried for like 90 percent of this episode.
While I wish Capaldi could stay,
this has been an amazing season,
with Bill a perfect companion for him,
I would like to hope David Morrissey
could be the next Doctor.
Because they're going to need a very good actor
to take over from where Capaldi left off,
he did a fine job.
I love your reaction this was a great finale. I want Capaldi to stay
I'm surprised that no one has noticed the obvious. To me at least, and I may be wrong. David Bradley, who is playing the first Doctor, is the new Doctor. That is why he is in the Christmas special.
a begining from an end
It's not impossible but it looks a lot like 12 has dropped in on 1 during 'The Tenth Planet', which was his last adventure. In fact, it could even be that they meet when 1 is on his way back to his TARDIS to regenerate, so this would be pretty much the worst time to become the 1st Doctor ;).
well, 12 dr. meets 1st Dr. thats a given as of now, "The Doctors (plural) return at Christmas"
This classicness run from peter capaldi was great
Fuck
love the channel :)
was waiting for this!
Can't wait for Christmas episode it was so emotional
Hahahah your reactions are so sweet.
Hey Lauren, are you going to do a reaction video for the 13th Doctor announcement tailor? Please do one.
Not gonna lie I had to take a walk outside after this to calm myself lol.
Dam it you made me cry too!
nice reaction Lauren :)
Love your review
OMFG, she literally just killed himself!!
Why all youtubers missed the best parts of the episode?Like missy-master's dance and last conversations??
its time for another montage for my channel!
is it ok to add you in my next one again, hun?
Your reactions are great x
sure :)
Lauren McGinty great. Check out the other doctor ep i did. Ok i sneaked you in! But you did such a lovely reaction in brought tears to my eyes whilst editing! Really ernest love you have for the show x
While that was the most exceptional ending ever... how did the First not notice the Tardis?
11:40 Very true, but William Hartnell was unavailable due to work on "special projects"
Nice reaction!
I say Christmas special [NEXT WEEK} Why does it have to be cold...
