Let me attempt translation - Natak-kar Krishnaji Prabhakar Khadilkar is describing leelas (various acts) by lord Shiva - they appear to be very contrasting and confusing the poet as to how lord Shiva is. He says - Naman Natavara (I pray to thee, the lord of dance, who makes me wonder (Vismayakaaraa - Vismayam karoti iti) about who real Shiva is - his behaviour is marked by contradictions (aatma-virodhi) and thus he is full of surprises (kutuhal dharaa). He who married Parvati, only to set on fire lord Madana (god of love, who had to face to wrath of waking up Shiva from his tapasya and lord Shiva annihilated Madana by fire); he then went to love goddess Parvati - (madana mitra Indu (moon) sevilaa - moon is used as simile for love). He is a dhana-bhairagee (doesnt go after money), yet he played game of dice, a vice associated with people who gamble money, (dyuta khelalaa) with goddess Parvati, and he became Parvati's daasa ( Gauri chaa to ankit jhaalaa). All these acts by lord Shiva (Parameshachyaa aishaa leela) make the kavi Krishnaji wonder (Kavi Krishnaa gaata Vismayakaaraa) as to how real lord Shiva is. Note also, Krishnaji Prabhakar Khadilkar translated and published Shri-Rudrasuktam from Sanskrit to Marathi - Sri rudrasuktam is full of Shiva described to be omnipresent in various contradictory forms in nature - for example Namo sharvay ch pashupataye ch (one who is destroyer and protector of all the beings). Sangeet Manapman is also a drama set to be a love story between Bhamini (a wealthy young lady) and Dhairyadhar (a self made army general) who start hating each other in the beginning in Act I and eventually end up in love with each other. The poet alludes to this impending story in the nandi by choice of his words and description of acts of lord Shiva.
