Thanks, what tool did you use to remove the hub? Also Zwift/ Wahoo recommend that if you have two rings at the front you should use the smaller one. Thanks 🏴
I used a chainwhip and a standard Shimano cassette removal tool. Both should come in any basic bike maintenance kit. I got mine from eBay and it has all the essentials. I'll do a review on it at some point ☺️
@@CaribbeanCyclist thanks. I have a lock ring removal piece that wasn’t fitting, however with a few taps of a rubber mallet it went in no problem. I managed to get everything sorted. Thanks again.
Assuming this could also work in reverse? Planning on buying a Zwift ride setup this winter but want the flexibility long-term to not always use Zwift. Thanks!!
Yes, the cog has nothing to do with virtual shifting. It is just a 14T cog inside some plastic caps. I bought a Kickr Core with a cassette and the zwift click. If you pair the click you can use virtual shifting in zwift, but so far only in zwift. I use other software too, like Rouvy. Then I just shift normally with the derailleur. It's the best of both worlds.
That's correct Jill, without the click controller, the cog is just a cog and plastic. You can use the click with any normal cassette but unfortunately only in Zwift.
Thank you. Very helpful!
My pleasure!

@@dukekaboom4105 Nice! Glad I could help
Here's what to do if you already have a Wahoo Kickr Core and want virtual shifting with the Zwift Cog. I'll post the software setup in a future video.

I’m curious, would that shimano hub also fit in the Core of you wanted to switch it out?
I haven't tried it but I assume it would as it's the same spline configuration
