Rename the sport to Hand-Egg?
u need to kick the ball to start the game that’s why it’s called football
React to nastiest nfl tackels
Wtf no😂😂
That sounds fucking awful. That’s like renaming soccer to kick circular ball
@@christianchiles588 is that the real Caruso of alex
The basic rules:
Once u catch the ball, the play is alive until ur knee hits the ground. Once your knees touch the ground the play is over and the ball is placed at the spot that ur knee touched the ground on the preivious play. U have 4 plays to get a first down which is every 10 yards and if you do u get a new set of 4 downs. The players are celebrating even if they dont score because they moved the ball much closer to the touchdown
A Touchdown is when a team (doesn’t matter if offense or defense) gets into the end zone, and that gets the team 6 points, and after every touchdown, they kick a extra point Which is when the ball goes in between the yellow poles. Also if a team doesn’t end up getting a touchdown, if they’re close enough, they can kick a field goal, which is the same thing as an extra point, but farther (where they left off) and worth 3 points.
goes in between the yellow poles, and if a team doesn’t end up getting the touchdown, if they’re close enough, they can kick a field goal ( where they left off, they can kick it in between the yellow poles for 3 points instead)
Poles for 3 points instead)
Not just when your knee touches down but also your butt, shin, elbow, shoulder, or head*
Once your knee or forearm touches the ground the play is over or if you miss the catch. If you catch it and nobody touches you but your on the ground you can get back up and keep running the play is only over if someone on the other team forces you down or they touch you while your falling or while your down. The getting back up and running doesn't apply to high school football.

If you like the runs I would recommend watch the most dominant runs in nfl history or best runs in nfl history, it’s absolutely crazy
for it to be a touchdown they just have to cross the line into the endzone with the ball

You should do "Hardest hits" "Best celebrations" and maybe mic'd up
a yellow flag is thrown when a penalty has happened. In the odell play when the ref threw a flag, the defender kept grabbing his arm so he couldn't use both hands, resulting in a "pass interference" which is 15 yards BUT, since he made the catch, they declined it and kept the touchdown for 6 points :)
You should watch NFL greatest hits ‼️‼️‼️

11:32 they dont get points there, the player celebrates because he just made a big play for a lot of yards. his team is a lot closer to the end zone now to try and get a touchdown!

11:43 in football you have 4 tries to get 10 yards down the field or more. If you do you get past 10 yards it resets. For a team to score they keep moving down field by getting past 10 yards every time and eventually into the end zone.
Basic Overview- The Offense's goal is to get the ball into the endzone, they do this by a set of 4 plays, there is a first, second, third, and fourth down, in each of those 4 downs you need to get at least 10 yards, if you get the 10 yards you get a new set of 4 downs. You can either pass the ball where if the reciever catches it they may run until they are considered down, or they can hand the ball off, were they run until they are down. You are considered down if your knee, butt, or elbows are on the ground and you are touched by a defender, or if you go out oof bounds. The offense get points by either kicking a field goal for 3 points or scoring a touchdown for 6 ponts. After the 6 points you can go for a 2 point normal play close to the goal line, or for 1 point by kicking a close field goal.
The Defenses goal is to stop the other team from soring in any way, they can do this by either focing a fumble, by ripping the ball from the other team's arms and recovering it, buy intercepting it, or by forcing the other team to turn over on downs, basically stoping the other team from getting all 10 yards for a first down. Most offenses also punt on fourth down, which means they kick the ball down the field instead of not getting the first down, this makes the distance the other team needs to go much longer.
Finally, the flags are penalties, if you do something that interfiers with the game to much you are penalized for it, for example in the OBJ clip the defender is clearly holding is jersey, basically pulling him away from the ball.
Once you get the ball you can't touch the floor with your knees and the ball can't touch the floor, so when you catch a really far pass it's a good play but not a score, a Touchdown is worth 6 points, when refs throw a flag it means something happened in the play like the defense may have pushed the offensive team or the offensive team may have done something that isn't allowed. And if you hit someone hard enough for them to drop the ball it's a "Fumble", and for it to be a Touchdown the ball just has to get passed the cone
Thanks bro🙏🏻💯

Something different.
I like it 👍🏾

All you have to do to score a touchdown is be in the end-zone with the ball in your hands, whether your on your feet or not. You don't ever put the ball on the ground during a play lmao 😂
He's basing his knowledge off rugby. In rugby, the player needs to touch the ball to the ground in the end zone in order to score points. This rule also applied to American football when it was invented, hence why it is called a touchdown (ball has to be touched down). Over time, this rule was removed but the name stood.
@@goldengoat9660 Well damn, I didn't know that
Nah your forgot the part where if it’s a pass both feet have to be in for it to count
Do NBA next 🔥
Touchdown - 6 points plus extra point is +1 or 2point conversion +2 points
Field Goal - 3 points
Safety - 2 points
Rare +1 point safety
Every 10 yards your downs reset you have 4 downs usually on the 4 down you punt/kick it in the goal post points vary from 1/2/3 and touchdowns are when you get it in the endzone witch point vary from 6/7 and the fouls are flags I dont actually know much about football except this oh and the ball cant touch the groung🙃
If you catch it or run it into the endzone (colored boxes at the end of the field on each side) it counts as 6 points. You can kick it for an extra point or do another pass or run for 2 points
Listen to “Should’ve Ducked” by Lil Durk ft Pooh Sheisty
When they fall with the ball the play ends
I think the best comprehensive explanation for your questions would be this. There’s two end zones on each side of the field 100 yards away, and all you have to do is get the ball in the end zone in someone’s hands for 6 points. You run plays, such as a pass or run to get closer, and when you get tackled, aka your knee is on the ground and you get touched. The ball stops there and you get another play. That’s why the interception he stopped was because he fell and got touched
an interception is when the defender catches the ball instead of the receiver. a interception means the other gets the ball back or the defender can run it back for a touchdown. if he goes down or gets tackled then the play is over and the other teams offense gets the ball
Please watch American football hardest hits trust 🙏
Ball carrier gets tackled and they are down. The team then has 40 seconds to get the ball set and snap the ball from the downed spot of the last play. You get 4 downs to pass the first down mark which starts at 10 yards on first down. If a team fails to convert on 4th down the other team can take possession of the ball where they down the other team at. If a team don’t feel they can get the first they can punt the ball, kicking the ball to the other team. If a team goes to the opponents end zone they get 6 points, and 1 for extra point. They could also kick a field goal which is also used when you cannot get a first down(10 yards). If you get tackled in your own end zone you concede two pints as long as giving them the ball back. Many of these plays were game winning and important games, so it probably wasn’t the best for your first.

In college football, once a ball carrier goes the ground, the play is over. In the NFL , the ball carrier has to be touched or touched to cause the carrier to the ground. The play is also over if the carrier goes out of the field of play ( no touching is necessary ).
A ball carrier does not have to touch the ball on the ground to score.
If you think you can play, every team has open try outs. Pick a camp and go. Many people think they can be NFL players and quickly find out that every NFL player is a world class athlete.
There are plenty of great sports in the US , besides football, there is baseball, hockey and basketball. tons of great videos on youtube.BTW football comes from rugby, thats why we say touchdown even though you dont have to touch the ball down.BTW the NFL is the wealthiest sports league in the world followed by the MLB.Also, some of the biggest sports stadiums are college football, not NFL.
The game is played using imperial measurements. The playing field is 100 yards. 120 including the ENDZONES.
The object of the game is to advance the ball to scoring section of the field called the ENDZONE.
A player thats advances a ball into the ENDZONE is called a TOUCHDOWN and worth 6 points.
From there the team has the option for a FIELDGOAL for 1 point or another TOUCHDOWN for 2 points known as a 2 POINT CONVERSION. Mostly the former is chosen as its the more safer play.
SAFTEY: When a player with a ball is tackled in the ENDZONE behind the OFFENSIVE LINE. Worth 2 points to the DEFENSIVE TEAM.
A team with possesion of the ball (OFFENSE) gets four plays, called DOWNS, to advance the ball. If a team advances 10 yards from the initial starting position, they get a new fresh set of DOWNS.
While possession of the ball the OFFENSE has these options:
PASS or a RUN: They are what they sound like, While the opposing team (DEFENSE) must stop them.
FIELD GOAL(NO TOWNDOWN): To kick the ball between the yellow goalpost(UPRIGHTS). Worth 3 points.
PUNT: Sending the ball as downrange to the other as much possible without it landing in the ENDZONE.
More on kicks later.
Any of these maneuvers can be done at anytime but must cost a down to perform.
The OFFENSE may lose the ball to the DEFENSE in several ways:
A FUMBLE: When the player with the ball drops it midplay and a DEFENSIVE player picks up (RECOVERS) the ball.
INTERCEPTION: A DEFENSIVE player catches the ball from the OFFENSIVE PASS.
LOSS OF POSSESSION ON DOWNS: Failure to advance the ball 10+ yards within a set of downs.
PUNT: Already explained
TYPE OF KICKS:
KICKOFF: A kick that starts a game, 2nd half or after scoring points
PUNT: see above
FIELD GOAL: see above
ONSIDE KICK: A high risk, high reward maneuver to keep possession of the ball. It must be done in a specific manner to be legal.
SAFETY KICK: A kick that must be performed after a SAFTEY has occurred.
SAFETIES are punishing.
A touchdown is when u hit the box at the end of the field and there is two boxes at the end of the field one team with the ball has four tries to make it to the end of the field in to the box in those four tries the other team could steal the ball aka interception
Plz do Patrick mahomes highlights next, MAN IS A MAGICIAN IN THE NFL

Soccer was called soccer even in the uk up until 1980, meanwhile American football was always called football rugby changed name from football too, it's called football because it's one of the early sports that's been played on foot instead of on a back of a horse like most sports were in the medieval times, and the word ball doesn't necessarily mean it's a sphere, and it's not shaped like an egg, i can say soccer ball is shaped like an orange so it should be leg orange instead of football, that's a silly narrative that got old real quick a long time ago.
I respect all sports, but American football players are the apex athletes. Their size, their agility is crazy.
The yellow flag is thrown when there's a penalty. Similar to a yellow card in football, but they usually let the play "play out" before they announce they penalty or penalize them for it depending on what penalty occured
That wasn't the best Compilation I'd just do the top 100 plays of the season that NFL or ESPN makes same goes for Basketball that the NBA or ESPN makes
11:43 - Not every big play is a Touchdown, and 95% of the time, an offense needs several plays in succession to get in position to score a Touchdown or Field Goal. Those end to end 1 play Touchdowns are extremely rare.
What was amazing about that play was that the Eagles (team in Green) Quarterback was almost tackled for a loss, but scrambled out of trouble, completed an incredible pass on the run to his receiver. Now the Eagles have the ball deep in their opponents(the Cowboys) territory close to their goal line. So the Eagles are only about 10 yards away from a Touchdown instead of 60 or 70.
Football = sport with a ball played on foot (not horse, etc)... like Rugby Football, which they also called Rugger.
Also the Brits took soccer out of asSOCiation football. American football is basically American Rugby Football.
Brits stopped using the word soccer but the whole ocean thing and the development of American Football made it stick.
15:06 - if you intercept or catch a pass but you're touched by an opposing player when you're on the ground, the plays dead, and you can't advance the ball. If the receiver(player in White) didn't touch him the he could get up and start running.
Check out the NFL player Ed Reed when you get a chance. He was incredible for returning interceptions for a Touchdowns(referred to as a Pick-6)
When someone gets an interception and doesn't run it back is because they were touched by the opposing team while on the ground which means your downed and the play is now dead/over, or the person who intercepted it can give themselves up by going to the ground on their own which makes the play dead/over.
Bro I’ve been watching your shows for months before realizing I’ve never been subscribed smh
So the team with the ball has 4 downs to get a first down which resets the 4 downs. If the person with the ball hits the ground by getting tackled(not counting hands) they are down. To score points if you get into the end zone aka a touchdown that is 6 points and you can kick a extra point giving you a total of 7 or you can go for two and run another play. The flag means the was a penalty on they play for example there was pass interference on the play with OBJ. Hope this helps a little
12:49 - Actually it didn't beat the record. That was a kickoff return, and you can return a kick from as deep as 9 yards in your own end zone.
The other 99 yard touchdown was a rushing play from scrimmage and those plays cannot start from within your own endzone. Plays from scrimmage have to start from at least your own 1 yard line. So there can never be a play from scrimmage longer than 99 yards.
The only types of plays thar exceed 100 yards are kickoff returns, punt returns, or interception, or fumble returns from the Defense, and those can be up to 109 yards.
Touchdown is 6 points. Then they can either gor the kick for 1 points . Or run another play for 2 points .. there is 4 downs , usually on 4th down you kick a punt or you go for a 3 pt field goal which is also kicking
Can't stand when people call it handegg. It's condescending and not funny. Just call it American football.
You have to watch the game a few times to understand the rules.. l watch soccer (Manchester city) basketball, cricket 🏏 baseball and hockey 🏒 tennis 🎾, NFL
Rugby and gridiron football were the same sport around 150 years ago. One evolved with interrupted forward play and specialized players, and one evolved with continuous plays and more general roles, and homogenous motion (no forward passing, everyone's going the same direction in general).
It shows sometimes; in gridiron football, you can only make a forward pass once and from behind the line of scrimmage, but passing backwards is unlimited *and* the ball is allowed to hit the ground. Sound a little more familiar? It would happen more often than it does but the opposing 'flow' of the defense can do what a rugby defender can't.... hit you head on and pound you into the turf, and that happens a LOT when rugby style lateral/reverse plays happen.
"the box where you score" is called the "endzone"
Everything I'm about to describe is predicate on whether the guy with the ball is a receiver or a runner. A receiver, obviously, has just caught the ball. He has to control the ball and make a few steps before he's converted to a runner. If you're handed the ball, you're a runner from the beginning of the play.
A receiver can catch the ball and make any contact with the ground EXCEPT the ball, and the play is still live UNLESS he is down and an opponent is touching him ("Down by contact").
A runner can only touch his hands and feet to the ground, otherwise the play is dead at the point of that ground contact, which is where the next play starts.
So as in that one play, the ball (thrown by team A's offense) was intercepted by team B's defense but the receiver was off balance and went to the ground with the ball, in contact with his opponent behind him. That's a fair catch but is dead at the point of downing, and is still a turnover. The field is flipped and B is in possession and running offense now, with A in defense, at that location.
The last interception in the end zone, you have to watch three things; one, he's intercepted the ball and is still in the end zone and is in danger of getting a Safety. If you're downed in your own end zone, the other team gets two points. Two, there are twenty seconds left in the game and the team that just intercepted was up 4 points... all they have to do is run the clock out and they've won. Three, he knew all this and basically just lunged out of the end zone onto the field to be downed and cement that game-winning turnover, it's all that was needed.
There are basic rules and then there are realities. The deal with gridiron football is that there are so many possible things you can arrange, so many plays you can call, and only a handful are ever going to work on either side.... but that doesn't prevent them from trying! About 2-3 pages of the official rulebook will have you following a game in good detail, but it's the remaining 197 pages that get the football nerds (like me) excited, and they DO show up.
It is like rugby in some respects, but it is still very different. Here is a good video on the basics ruclips.net/video/Ddwp1HyEFRE/видео.html Also, american football is actually the mix of soccer and rugby. It started as american soccer, then rugby rules were mixed into the game around 1870s. It underwent more rule changes when rules from a rugby off-shoot game were added.
