Did you get demonitized because of activison? I thought it would be the music holders... youtube even detected a song in your video btw can you enable subtitles? Idk if you disabled them, I like watching with subtitles
Hey there! Custom Songs Central & Carpal Tunnel Hero founder here! This was a very concise & terrific video covering our community and game series history! These games has gone through so many hands and changes over the years and with communities like ours now more than ever keeping things alive with things such as customs songs and Online Play & Scorespy bringing back that classic competitive feel, I am confident that strikeline will be a massive success even more then Clone Hero is currently.
Funny how Microsoft says a rhythm game wouldn't succeed without a peripheral, and then DJmax does exactly that like 7 times and they're almost all bangers Amazing video man, can't wait to see what else you have in store!
Just a tiny correction about the birth of GH customs: long before GH3PC there was a thriving customs community on the scorehero forums thanks to the popularity of custom GH2 PS2 ISOs. In fact, a handful of custom charters were hired by Neversoft to do note tracking when they started developing GH3, including the person that charted TTFAF for GH3.
Came here triggered by the title to rage in the comments, but stayed to watch and changed my mind. Good content. Title: Game be dead Outro: There has never been a better time to start playing guitar hero :D 100% agree
This video was AMAZING the whole analysis through each game kept me entertained and to see how greedy Activision was getting with the series is super telling of how the company panned out in the future. The GH customs scene has kept this game thriving with new skill limits being pushed by community members with new methods being figured out and so fourth. It’s amazing what some of these alien players can accomplish and the amount of history some players achieve with FCs thought to be deemed impossible. Your use of custom songs was great too amazing selection of BG music to use for this video. Really shows how much care is put into creative ways this game is explored through music and modcharts And TY for mentioning deluxe! I’m not much of a clone hero person myself but enjoyed playing all the older Harmonix GH games and fell in love with the milo scene when GH2 deluxe was in process. It’s a neeche thing but the whole team added such a slice of life to those games and still are which is incredible. Really love this series dive and how in depth everything was and how well it was edited amazing video the community appreciates it!
Always keep up with everything in general. One thing I've been curious about if you thought about making. During your reflecbeat video you showed off boss songs for it during events and all. I wondered if you ever thought about during a history of boss songs with ddr. Since getting into it and experimenting with stepmaina. Learning about all of the different MAX songs, paranioa, the song drop out. Been wondering the history of these charts, the player base. And how the term was never officially coined for years but people just called them before. Be well and wonderful
Wow! I did not expect Guitar Hero with the teaser that you gave but now that I think about it, it makes a whole lot of sense. Great stuff as per usual.
There’s a few more candidates ripe for getting their own episodes. Keeping a tally of 2022’s rhythm game casualties there’s. . Seven’s Code, Naoki’s second touch music game strikes out again. Pump it Up Mobile, maybe the arcade version too because it’s been over half a year since content dropped. WACCA, the game that got Hardcore Tano C booted from BEMANI titles. Groove Coaster, Taito announced the last 4 songs coming will be the last content dropped for the game. No more after.
I don't really have anything substantial to say, so uh, yeah, great video. I've really enjoyed this series, and I look forward to what you do in the future.
Just want to note i forget which song and version of the game it is but i know for a fact that one song on easy has a blue note and on medium that note is orange and i remember it quite vividly thinking that cant be right and double checking it ... but in general yes easy is green red yellow medium adds the blue hard adds the orange and expert adds more chords/hopos
Agreed. The game had its last update, Shutting down Server (Recorded Scores and Multiplayer will be forever down now), and probably no more Banger songs will be ported/commissioned to the game. And it'll be dead maybe not so soon but maybe next couple of years. It's sad to see the arcade hasn't even lasted 5 years
I used to play guitar hero with my friends on playstation cafes which had the controllers for the game, but turns out since the c virus hit, everyone scrapped the controllers
It's a huge shame that GH warriors of rock was reviewed so poorly because in my opinion it might be the best game in the series, or at least right up there with GH2 and GH3. Also, reviewers who said the franchise had run out of good songs had to be completely fucking stupid since this game had an impecable songlist, it even featured the entire 2112 song by Rush! I think it just came out at a bad time when most people were sick of the franchise.
And we got demonitized anyway, thanks Activision LOL. Check out my patreon I guess haha
Thanks for watching everyone :) more to come soon!

Taiko, Thumper, Groove Coaster, and Superbeat: Xonic released on xbox and also play really well with controller.
Even project diva is well and alive right now
Microsoft also the one to release hi-fi rush lol
I think at the time the statement aged well, but market conditions changed

I forgot about GH2 ISOs, thanks for the correction!
Do you have some source regarding charters being hired by Neversoft?
@@jakbu The scorehero forums are still up. You can also hear about it in interviews with Chris Vance, a former notetracker for Neversoft.
@@BongOfDestiny Thanks!

Great video! Hopefully you do continue the dead rhythm game videos, I'd love to hear your thoughts on Synchronica.
Small channell with good content, noice!
Did anyone else watch the chart in the intro, and instantly get the solo for One is playing your head?
If you want a band game in 2009 that better represents the bands history buy the beatles: rock band ik that games has some inaccuracies but still
This deserves more views
would love to see a synchronica episode :)
I like these videos, I hope you keep making them!
I feel like we’re gonna see one of these for WACCA ;-;

Hey if you wanna do a video on DJ Hero, I'm a former top 3 player of the game, GT Superkitty.
YESSS MORE LOSERMANWINS CONTENT
tldr: activision doing activision things
Can you do Technomotion? Its a Korean ddr game but the dance pad has 8 arrows compared to the usual 4.
When Microsoft announced its purchase of Activision, Phil Spencer (the head of Xbox gaming) said he might be interested in reviving "Guitar Hero".
TL;DW the plastic peripheral crash happened as a result of actibliz (now owned by Microsoft) saturating the market with spinoffs and sequels
you can't read a video
GHTV reloaded is only possible on wii u non emulation wise idk
