Hi, I have a Toyota Prius 2010 with JBL, but so far I still haven't found the adapter that fits in my new stereo. From the link you left available here, on amazon it says it only works on cars from 2005 to 2007. Does it really work on the prius 2010?
Yes, the adapter I used worked on my 2011 car.
Do i need that amplifier connection? I hv WM-TY1 harness. Unless the 2010 prius has it built in. Oh and dont care about steering controls. Dont use them.
629 used ouch
There's a newer model for $399. AVH-1500NEX amzn.to/3Qiu6wH
does the steering wheel trip function and climate control still work? Bestbuy installed mine but lost climate control and trip info on my steering wheel
Both work for me
@@ColinLeung Did you have to use a jumper on the oem wiring harness? The climate control buttons on the steering wheel uses a OEM harness that isnt used in the install of a radio
@@xpocad I did not use any jumpers. Only the two modules mentioned in the video, and spliced 3 wires for the audio controls. The climate controls work on my steering wheel, and I don't think I touched any of those wires. They may be connected to the heating control unit.
I had the same problem. I made a video on my channel on how to fix it.
Does the climate control on the steering wheel also thru this? Bestbuy installed a new radio but I didn’t get the volume control and they say I should still have climate control but now I lost climate control too
I do not believe it does. My climate controls are on the right of the steering wheel, and continue to work. My audio controls are on the left of the steering wheel.
I lost the trip button and climate
Does this have CarPlay built in?
Yes the aftermarket stereo has Apple Carplay built in
where are you located? bay area?
Yes, I'm in SF
@@ColinLeung Im in the bay area as well, looking to get this done to my prius. how much would you charge for this install?
@@macjusss Do you have a JBL amp and stock stereo without Navigation, and are installing an aftermarket stereo? I'm only familiar with that setup. I'd charge $50/hr. It might take 2hrs, but it depends on what needs to be done.
