If we're gonna do that, we're already halfway to a Morgenthaler amaretto sour tho... :) Which, is super tasty, but we don't make them as much because they're kinda a pain in the ass (and people tend to get hangovers off them) :)
Anecdotally, this is a good go-to when you want a light low ABV nightcap, or if you have places to be. I'm very much into things like aviations, last words, and negronis; real cocktails, if you will... Obviously you can jazz it up, a dash of orange bitters, a shot of whiskey, etc. but the beauty of it is just the simplicity. I usually don't even shake it, I just pour over a few icecubes, and stir it real fast, keeping on the theme of "simple". Go ahead and throw some brandy or vermouth in there if you want to, nobody's going to stop you!
AHAHAHA ayyy, great timing to put this out. Cheers mates
That does look really tasty.
Yea!!
I'm thinking maybe cut the Amaretto with a cask strength bourbon, like the Morgenthaler amaretto sour?

Yeah complete complex cocktails are the way to go but sometimes you just want easy or something simple for fun
