Looking forward to your next video as always, all the best.
I was unaware of how much time, and effort goes in to getting a photo in to a frame to display on a gallery wall to sell !
Making my own frames I looked in to, and I needed to create a small workshop in the corner of my garage. Fortunately I found a local frame suppler who can make custom sizes, and at very reasonable price !
Just being a good photographer is not enough to sell your work, and there ate so many variables to deal with.
I know this is off subject, but I've just downloaded your presets, and as you indicated, they are strong! I applied one of them, overcast coastal, to a photo I took today and it transformed it. Very pleased. I should also say that I enjoyed your Illumination book. Your experience in the police force made for good reading.
Thank you Tony. I really appreciate your support and your feedback, it means a lot.
I can't wait for your framing video!
Got to see Adam the other day at a Canon Print workshop and was such a pleasure and a great experience. Awesome chance to ask some questions about photography and printing to Adam and other experts. Thanks very much for your time dude!
Always a great pleasure watching your videos Adam all the way from Fort Worth Texas…I hope to get into printing my work in the near future….;) be well…
Hello Adam ! Your videos are always surprisingly inspiring ... I am a carpenter and also build my own frames for smaller exhibitions and it is wonderful to see the enthusiasm with which you photograph and always tackle and implement new ideas. Thank you for sharing this ! 🤩💪
Great job on the frames. It can turn into a hobby in its own right. I print and frame my own images too and it really is fulfilling to be able to hold something you have taken from shutter press to living room wall entirely using your own skills.
Another great video Adam. Loved the process from start to finish. Keep up the good work.
Thank you Adam. I’ve always found your videos very informative and easy to follow. I’ve just dipped my toe in the water and made a site on Squarespace following on from a night of shooting the northern lights and the feedback I got from some of those images. So this video is very timely as I need to print and frame what I’ve created. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Great video. Making the frame would be a very satisfying part of the process.
Beautiful work from start to finish!
It was great seeing you in Birmingham last week Adam and very much enjoyed your presentation and to see the framed prints you used in your video today. It definitely adds that additional and very personal dimension to your work and look forward to seeing your video on the subject in due course.
Looking forward to your video on how you make your own frames. That is something I think I might like to learn to do.
I enjoyed this video. The frames you made look great. I look forward to watching your video regarding your frame building process.
Taking the printer up the hill is still a standout 😂👍 I had to frame some images for a club exhibition. It’s a nice feeling.
There's nothing better than making your own frames
I tried framing my own images for a couple of years. It's not easy to do a decent job. But the results were never as good as professional frames and once I factored in the cost of my time to the materials it did not work out as any cheaper. If anything, it was clearly more expensive.
Great video. A long exposure did not work for me in that stormy scenario. You could have got a much more dynamic shot with a fast exposure, freezing the action, creating leading lines of the stormy waves. The scene screamed drama, not serenity
So I just got into printing and bought a Canon IX6850, yes I no not a top of the range but for home it does the job (when I get it right) I also try to make my own paper profiles for none Canon paper but do you make profiles for your Canon paper or do you use the recommended profiles on the Canon packaging? Thank You.
I'm impressed with your creativity and enthusiasm extending to framing, though I doubt I'll ever go that far myself. However, you didn't show the matting process which I would be interested in and it does seem a bit of an omission from a concept to frame video. (Though maybe you've covered matting previously?)
like I said. the full framing video will be coming soon.
