Hey, Panos...I'm a working drummer in the Phoenix area and also teach percussion. This week we did a mini session on drumset. I showed them how to make a drum chart from a lyrics sheet and had them practice writing the grooves and fills. Then we practiced air drumming then actual drumming on one of our two electronic sets. We used your video for tech pointers and to verify rhythms and what you were doing. You have excellent technique and my kids appreciated the video. Thanks. CP
I have completed building my drum set. It was a long and painful process. I did it. I now have my Pearl double bass drum set of my dreams. I have all Bon Jovi ,s CD,s . Now I can do some ROCKING!
Splendid tone...! How do you like the audix d4 on large floor toms? I have two on my 16" and 18" toms but I feel I am loosing low end on the 18". do you feel that way? Dont know what will be a better update because I liked the full bodied tone of the d4.... others seem to cut the mids.... !
I like the D4 on the floor toms, but you need to place them closer to the center of the drumhead to get most of the low end. If you place it close to the rim you will be missing some low end for sure. If you try that and you still don't get enough low end according to your taste, you can try the D6 on the floor toms too.
@@PanosGeoCovers great input brother, thanks i will try that and the d6 can be a later option... I would go for it but theres a huge mid cut on that one...
@@arnabshahriar Yeah, because it's mostly made for bass drums. However, if you have very big floor toms (18", for example), you might actually want that mid cut. At the end of the day you have to try a bunch of options and mic positions and see what's better according to your taste! 😉
