Isn't marketing wonderful? Zero sells you a digitally crippled motorcycle, make you haul the hardware, an then pay to unlock it's true performance and safety, and they call it a feature? I bet when you sell it those "upgrades" get deleted and sold again to the next sucker... I mean customer.

agreed, the EV mania is based in bad math and idiotic distributors/manufacturers. Make no mistake, they are holding a bad bag and trying to pass it off to gullible Dealers where the units will sit for years in a showroom and be sold at cost, or for a loss. There is no demand for this crap (*they say there is but that is not true, see 2nd paragraph). And the people who do buy it, regret it soon after or they have a bunch of warranty issues. This year's AIME show will be just like last year's but worse, a bunch of liars on a stage telling dealers they need to buy EVs. After the bad decade we've had in powersports, this type of leadership and bad guidance from distributors is a massive red flag. For my shop, I will only sell ICE products.
The EV mania was mostly Online Sales straight from distributors to customers, or thru bicycle shops. They basically unloaded all that faulty Chinese quality wholesale junk straight from factory to customer. Then all those customers inevitably had warranty and tech issues so they called local dealers who dont sell that crap. LOL.
So now they (the jerks building EV crap) want dealers to buy this crap, so that the dealer is on the hook for servicing this crap when it breaks, which they all break... And that is why you see nothing but EV and Ebike distributors saturating AIME and lecturing people that there is a "huge demand" for this stuff. There isnt... they just found a way to make crap at a lower price, and want to harvest giant margins from Dealers and anyone dumb enough to pay for this stuff.
That aint even the half of it. EVs RANGE and COST are dealbreakers compared to ICE alternatives. The metrics are so bad for EVs. *giant rant* ... lol. And yes, they are environmentally friendly at all consider the resources needed to manufacture them, or where they end up after their tiny lifespan.
