    Interesting. This form is much diffrent than what I have seen before, he is so rigid and fast. Very interesting differences.

    definitely not in the same mindset as his 2012 final performance you can see the tension in each technique whereas in 2012 it was solid.

    I would like to know. How do you enter one of these tournaments? Do you need to quality? Or just register? How much is it? For kata Are there rounds or just 2 people one round . Is there any of these in the U.S? Thanks for the info

    • @darrenmau1942
      @darrenmau1942 7 лет назад +2

      to enter these tournaments, your dojo need to be register to the local WKF (they could use another name) and the students to be registered. During the years there will be regional sectional tournaments (dont be confuse with open tournaments) which will be like a point system. After, the highest point will be selected to go and compete on the national and the winner will be selected to compete in the world tournament representing their country.
      For black belts, all competition will be an elimination round, 2 people compete and winner move up and loser is out of the competition. Only color belts are points form and compete against everyone.

      thanks also what if my dojo does not wan to can i register by my self?

    • @darrenmau1942
      @darrenmau1942 7 лет назад +1

      unfortunately no, only register dojo can compete in the selection tournaments and compete in the WKF world tournament. But if theres an open tournament, then anyone can register

    I am someone who does not not understand Karate, but I want to ask, what is the main objective of doing the Kata in front of an audience? What does the partitioner benefit from it? Just asking

    • @James-bw4np
      @James-bw4np 4 года назад +4

      IMO doing a kata in front of an audience in this case is to make money from the seats sold, lol. If you meant what the "participant" benefits from the audience... I guess you could say that it tests their ability to focus on their form with external distractions.

    A riesgo de que se me llame gafapasta o lo que sea, la kata es una formación PERSONAL dentro del karate.
    No entro a debatir si se debe valorar competitivamente o no, lo que si que me parece que está completamente fuera de lugar son los aplausos y gritos DURANTE la ejecución de la kata.
    Entiendo que le da cierta animación al torneo pero es que llega un punto en el que parece que estás viendo un partido de fútbol en lugar de karate joder.

      Ademas puede romper la concentracion de el ejecutante.

  • @edwinserrano1070
    @edwinserrano1070 4 года назад +4

    Applauding and screaming on behalf of the audience should not be allowed during the karateka's performance/execution of kata. Only after the performer has ended by bowing after concluding his/her presentation should there be any demonstration of support. Concentration is key to a high level performance and distractions should be kept to a minimum.

      porque esto es kata, de demostración ante un rival imaginario, mientras que el kumite si es un combate real, al que te refieres.

    Nunca voy a entender por qué transforman un kata en espectáculo circense. Exageran los movimientos al límite del ridículo.

    Truth is I love Karate, I've been training for more than 20 years, shito-ryu my style. Though I gotta tell you all, SHAME on the WKF it is a joke how people like Antonio Diaz and Rika Usami are world champions, sure his Kata is really fast and has Kime and his movements are flawless, but the thing is Karate is a Martial Art, is is an ART, Sensei Kenwa Mabuni, Gichin Funakoshi, Miyagi Chojun spent most of their lives developing a beautiful styles, and just for the sake of winning, competitors change and modify the original Kata to make it look better... WKF should be evaluating competitors based on the real thing not some modified "pretty" version of it. SHAME on you WKF. You should do better.

  • @aaaaaa-ox8ri

    This is neither martial nor art. Some things belong in the ash heap of history.
