The entire album, Flamingo Serenade, is a masterpiece. All the tracks have that dreamy echoy atmosphere. Terry Johnson, the guitarist and arranger of the song is still out there singing his old bands tunes.

This is from the era of the smoothest love songs..."Doo-Wop" to the bone!!! Pure vocal talent & harmonies with NO AUTO-TUNE!!!

The Flamingos were one of the early 50's doo-wop groups. They were known for their great harmonies & choreography moves. They influenced other acts such as The Temptations later on. "I Only Have Eyes For You" is their biggest hit but they had quite a few good songs "If I Can't Have You", "That's My Desire", "Golden Teardrops", "I'll Be Home", "Lovers Never Say Goodbye" etc.

Here are two other songs which are beautiful from the Flamingos:
    “Lovers never say goodbye”
    “Mio amore”

Classic love song from days gone by. I don’t remember what age I was at the time it was played on the radio. But I think before I was a teenager. Just beautiful, nothing better expressing true deep love for someone. It is as if the sun came out when before way gray, and filled up your heart with immense calm.
And the do-wop of that era, oh man. :)

The distortion from the TV is not doing it justice.
I feel like this song and the effect really transports you where you feel like you are on the streets and each of the singers is in a different part of the street. Like one is on a balcony, and one is across the street and it's just showering you from different places.
It's just a great song where the Flamingos have the ultimate version.
