I unfortunately do not like King Charles at all, I don’t think he is defending the Church of England, I think he is way to woke and way to mixed up with the W.E.F. Unfortunately I don’t see it changing under William. The U.K. needs to take care of its people and start putting them first.
I think you need to realize that the UK is not just C of E anymore, and in fact there are other faiths in the UK that are practiced more regularly. I hear what you are saying; how devout are you with attendance and donation to the C of E? Again, the stats reflect that fewer and fewer British citizens are actively participating in the state religion. It is logical and reasonable that HM would want to fight to protect people of all beliefs in this society. It is not as it was when his mother assumed the throne, when British Anglicans actually went to church regularly and supported their church financially.

I was disappointed with some aspects of the speech I have to be honest, I appreciated the Christian elements of it, and quite frankly that's how it should be, but for him to say diversity has been our strength is lunacy, I've watched my country fall apart because of diversity, it's an unsustainable situation and is pulling us ever nearer to chaos, I don't really recognise my country it's changed so much and so quickly, It's really sad to see.

The world is changing and check out any university in Australia. It is a multi cultural society with persons of every colour, creed and nationality. The Prince's Trust now the King's Trust was set up in 1976 by Charles and has helped over 1 million young people in all walks of life to gain confidence and find employment or even as some have done start their own business without making colour or cultural differences a factor.

I miss Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, her God-given wisdom, discernment, breadth of knowledge, regal poise, sense of humor and timing, steady control, and all the wonderful things she had to offer this world. Her very presence brought a sense of dignity and respect. Heaven gained a beautiful soul.

As a 56year old Uk resident who has NEVER watched the speech live. I thought it was actually good. I’m Catholic and said to my non religious husband….this is quite religious, that will set people off. Then he just pips in, quite rightly, the term all faiths and God. This is a speech that will always please loads and offend loads. Harry and Megs have made a monarchist out of me (more anti getting rid of it as such). I think he’s not well and is trying to enjoy what’s left and being King. For someone whose family has been decimated by cancer I can see why he’d do that. Critique complain etc…but I still raised a glass. 🍾

An American here. I thought King Charles speech was a lovely heartfelt tribute to those who are in the “helping” professions. The King strikes me as a deeply emotional man, very kind, vey caring, as well.
I am American and I have always watched the Queen's and now the King's Speech, as you are our most important allies. I never see it in real time and contribute to the ratings due to the time difference. I would suggest many people watch later, depending on time zones.

I do not agree…The kings speech was excellent, measured. personal, stunning location and very cleverly done….showcasing a new era. Life moves on…King Charles has shown us all how truly dedicated he is and how well prepared he was to pick up the Reigns of being Our Monarch
I miss Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, her God-given wisdom, discernment, breadth of knowledge, regal poise, sense of humor and timing, steady control, and all the wonderful things she had to offer this world. Her very presence brought a sense of dignity and respect. Heaven gained a beautiful soul.

As a 56year old Uk resident who has NEVER watched the speech live. I thought it was actually good. I’m Catholic and said to my non religious husband….this is quite religious, that will set people off. Then he just pips in, quite rightly, the term all faiths and God. This is a speech that will always please loads and offend loads. Harry and Megs have made a monarchist out of me (more anti getting rid of it as such). I think he’s not well and is trying to enjoy what’s left and being King. For someone whose family has been decimated by cancer I can see why he’d do that. Critique complain etc…but I still raised a glass. 🍾
