- Waking up to the love taps of this guy is one of the greatest things that happens to me in a day!! 21 year old Java Macaque Bugs Bullock is a slapping, tapping, ASMR delivering Macaque that is on top of his game!! No way could anything feel better than his sweet touch!! I adopted Bugs at age 14 months.. He was a rowdy little guy then who has turned into a chilled adult now.. I am blessed to be his human.. He owns me.. Life is too short to fit in!!

Does Bugs ever groom your back? Meaning if you were on your stomach and had a tank top or sport bra, etc., does he show interest in grooming and smacking? Just wondering since it would probably make for louder smacks (which are fun to watch, hear, etc.). Bugs is the coolest.
I love how he enjoys grooming his mama. He takes his job seriously. Bugs! You’re so special❣️

To this day, I never know if he's acting like he's picking up something or he genuinely sees things. It'd be cool if it's the former, knowing that they can lie to make you feel good.
neither, it’s brainlessly performing an instinctive movement, it’s a built-in reflex for them to pick at each other’s fur with the intention that doing it randomly for a long enough time they will hopefully pick out some fleas, it’s definitely not doing anything consciously or to make anyone else feel good
It’s called “social grooming.” It’s a way primates communicate with each other.
