  • Hi, Friends today I will show you how to make traditional authentic palappam. In the olden days, we were using "Toddy" for this kind of recipe. But nowadays nobody makes this way because of time and availability. That is the reason here I am trying to show you how we make appam in a traditional way.

Chechi, I am a Bangladeshi, living in Australia. I stayed in South India for 4 years, for my graduation, and right from there, I became fan of South Indian food. Here in Australia, we have HUGE number of Indians and these ingredients are easily available in grocery stores. By the help of your receipes, I can now cook food that I loved for so long.
Much love and respect. Language was my only barrier, you have covered that too. If I ever get to visit India again, there is a heartfelt wish to meet you and taste your food. No worries, I will help you in cooking. After watching your videos, now I know how to get them right!
    Love from Australia

BTW taadi is a sweet liquid (a bit like lemonade) we get from palm tree/ coconut tree. Its extracted early morning. Its sweet and gets you drunk 🍺 a little bit. If you keep it for more than few hours, it will get sour as the sweet turns to acetic acid (vinegar).
    But Its tasty when fresh.
