Where do one obtain permission or permits to drive along this road from Koekenaap to Groenrivier. ?

You do not need permission to drive there, you just go. But just stay out of the mining areas, they are really full of nonsense, and do not drive on the beach. Also lower your tyre presuure to about 1.5. And do not go alone of you are not fully experienced. Take your own water and firewood....there is nothing there. No cellphone reception. And if you do not want to drive the sand there is a main corrugated track to follow up to Groenriviermond.
