The Argenta Pivotica - pivot door system, installed by The Tidy Tradie - Lockcarpenter in Sydney.

I've been installing a lot of these pivot doors lately, with the Argenta Pivotica 100 system. It's a new product in Australia, supplied by Two Tease Architectural Hardware. The bottom mechanism takes superior carpentry skills to install as you can see, there is not much timber left on either side. The pivot door works really well and can hold open at 90 degrees. Hello Tidy Tradie! After a year, we finally installed the pivotica pro100 into a door, however, it is not holding its position at 0 degrees. It holds at 90 degrees and around 10degrees. We have tried adjusting screws 1 and 2 slower and faster in many combinations but cannot solve the problem. I've contacted the manufacturer and they asked me to check clearances, and if i can manually pivot the door -- which are all okay, but I have not gotten any reply beyond that. I thought to consult you, perhaps you have ideas on how to solve the issue? Thank you :-)

Hi Zada, the adjustment is in the floor plate. If it is loosely fitted in the floor then reaching a zero point will not work every time.

Hello! How is the performance of this pivot hinge? Would you know how it compares to the Fritsjurgens pivot hinges? Thank you

Fritsjurgens has more adjustment settings and requires less of a gap top and bottom.

@@lockcarpenter The price is almost 10x less than Fritsjurgens, so I thought to try out Argenta, too. If the Argenta breaks down over time, it is still possible to fit in a new hinge or would I need to change the whole door because parts of it has been milled away?

@@ZadaOng you can only swap with the same hinge. I haven't heard of one failing yet.

Short question is it normal, that you can not move the bottom installation by hand. We bought the system and tried it in our hand but nothing was moving 😅 is their a trick we are not seeing.
