Love the humble response to the critics. You are doing a great job! Love the content and it seems like you teach me a tidbit that I hadn't learned before anywhere else! Thanks!
Love the content brother!!! I think your videos are fine!! It’s all about the information. It doesn’t have to be frilly with music, quick goofy clips or anything like that. This is real! And that’s what make your videos good.
Polycrylic spray or brush on (both water base) is definitely the way to go, fast drying and of course easy cleanup. Yes it dries clear unlike the oil base which does have a yellow tint which I personally really dislike.
Just came across your video. Very informative and good pointers. You have a new subscriber. I just got into the laser thing LOL. Still learning and hope to be on my way soon. Hopefully selling stuff for Xmas will help me recover my $$ spent on the machine.
Love your videos and the channel overall. Volume of the intro is better, so thanks for that. I didn't feel like it was big issue but it was noticeable. Other than that keep up the great work. I plan on building an enclosure like yours, and have really appreciated all the details you've provided about that. And those ornaments look pretty cool, so I see another Etsy purchase in my future too. Can never have too many holiday gift options!
Great video. One thing you might try is staining an entire piece of wood before cutting. That way, you do a simple line cut instead of an engrave. This is how I do it, and it saves a lot of cutting time.
@@TheClackShack Yeah, you have to cut the stained/unstained parts out of different pieces of wood. This can be a pain if you're only doing a couple of ornaments, but when I'm batching out lots of ornaments, it saves lots of times. Thanks again for the videos. Great stuff.
Good stuff and thanks for the tone down. Thinking just about right. I like the titebond also for my wood projects but do need to be careful with the squeeze out since it doesn't dry clear. Was thinking I would use some good old Elmer's Glue-All, it will dry clear. Christmas ornaments are in the future. Working on one of those lake art plaques for the family cabin up in Montana. Keep them coming.
Those ornaments turned out beautifully! How can we buy some? The Etsy link took me to the file set. I hope you have plans to make Easter egg ornaments for Easter.
Nice looking ornaments. Definitely going to check them out on your Etsy store. Did you use 1/8 or 1/4 inch plywood? Thanks for sharing your knowledge and ideas!
Great work. You mentioned having your focus set very precisely - could you explain what you mean by that? I’m new at this and have the d1 pro 20w and really appreciate your info.
Do you sell the ornaments individually or as a set? As a possible first time creator of something like these what's an average price point for selling? Keep up the great content!
Currently just in lighburn, I can export them as an SVG but in order to do the cut out, you would have to assign cut lines. I can look at adding the svg to the bundle.

Just a guy with hobbies here. I enjoy it, thanks
Awesome video. Lots of good information. Keep em coming.
Thanks
Great videos man! Your in a shop and working, louder the better as far as I'm concerned....
Thanks…
In addition to the bear Christmas ornament you should add a cat and a dog ornament
That is an idea

Thank you for the volume adjustment on the intro. So much better!!
Thanks, I had overlooked it. Glad it is better.. Thanks for subscribing

That is pretty much my feelings on the issue. Thanks
Looking forward to seeing all of your creations. Heard about you on Maymay made it

Last Christmas, I was able to make back my 10 watt funds.

I have done that but then the whole ornament would be stained if doing the pieces together. I also paint and cut at times.

Tip:Elmers Glue all dries clear. TB3 dries brown.
Yes, it does.
Love the designs. Thanks, looking forward to learning your style.
Thanks, I try to keep it simple.

Yea, I only sell my files on Etsy.
Nice work. Have you tried CA glue and activator. It can be used with the titebond II or III.
I have not, I have heard about it but never tried.
@@TheClackShack It’s actually another way to hold a parts together while the wood glue cures.
It's another Clack Attack!! I love your ornaments!! Do you ship them? Are they sold individually?
I haven't shipped them yet.
Great channel, thanks for all the tips, could you explain how you are using the laser to "color" the top layer? how is that setup in lightburn. thanks
It is a fill with cut lines .02 mm either side of it.
Nice looking ornaments. Definitely going to check them out on your Etsy store. Did you use 1/8 or 1/4 inch plywood? Thanks for sharing your knowledge and ideas!
1/4 inch measures 4.5 mm

What is the kerf of the XTool D1 Pro 20 watt?

Thanks that was very informative - appreciate it!
Do you sell the ornaments individually or as a set? As a possible first time creator of something like these what's an average price point for selling? Keep up the great content!
A set saves on listing fees with Etsy. It depends on the complexity of the design and the going rate. I stay affordable
Great selection. What are the dimensions of your ornaments?
I will have to measure, I built the outline a while back. I used an actual Christmas ball to get my dimensions. Maybe around 3 inches
@@TheClackShack thanks
The lightburn settings are all based on the 20W for these file. Is that correct?
Yes, the 20 was used for these. I have actually sped up to 130 since getting my lens issue resolved.
What setting do you use for the xtool d1 10 watt pro using lightburn?
@@christaldavis , engrave at 80 mm/s at 100, cut 5mm/s at 100 x3 passes
Are these SVG files. I have a Full Spectrum Laser called the Muse, and so don't use Lightburn. I see on your store it says Lightburn only.
Currently just in lighburn, I can export them as an SVG but in order to do the cut out, you would have to assign cut lines. I can look at adding the svg to the bundle.
I added another file that is SVG and added all of the designs to the file.
@@TheClackShack Awesome! Thank you! Purchased
Are you sanding the boards before laser engraving?
The material I use is finish ready. It is also stainable. You can lightly sand if you prefer.
@@TheClackShack I love your videos! Very informative for a newbie! What material do you use for these? Thank you
@@FeralMomClub 1/4 inch luan

Yep… I sell lots of them. Just search my videos
@@TheClackShack hmmm. I don't want to build it, I am trying to figure out what it is for!
why is this file not both cut lines and the back is a fill i am new to this sorry
Not following. The file contains cuts and fills. Depending on the design, they are different from file to file
Thank you..
Your very welcome
