I have a 2011 GV8 that I bought in 2015 that was low miles and stock. Here I am 80k miles later, far from stock, e85 on stock motor and turbo daily driver. If do the right mods you'll be fine. I'm making 350whp, torque not taken (problems with the dyno) but it feels like ~380+. Point is, Subies have their issues but if you mod them smartly and maintain your car to mitigate the issues, you'll end up with one of the most fun cars ever that you can daily drive. That's what I do with mine. Subaru love all day everyday! I'll keep mine forever.
As an original owner of my 2011 GV STI, I totally agree with this. Its a great jack of all trades kind of car. The analog simplicity of it really makes it that much more special in todays world. With the discontinuation of the STI, I will be sure to keep enjoying mine as much as possible. The legacy continues as the legend lives on. #SAVETHEMANUALS
I have a 2013 wrx. I bought it off my buddy who bought it new. The car is all stock, and I love it; however, if something happened to my wrx, I would jump into an STI without question.
I have a 11 wrx GV and it's been great, on the lookout for a clean sti GV. My WRX is silver as well, my favorite color for cars by far, my preferred color for the STI will also be silver.
Really love the video! I’m currently struggling with a batter and or alternator issue. Already replaced both but still have the batter and rear diff light flickering and sometimes staying on. I have the new battery sitting on a charger to figure out if it’s a bad battery. Keep making videos. I love my 2014 STI sedan and want to see many more on youtube!
I also have a 2011 STI limited that is built, I'm upgrading the turbo, going FMIC, and a better exhaust set up, I do plan on eventually tracking once I get a feel for it better
@@AttheApex I got my second one about 3 months ago, right now its sitting until I get my load of parts in, CF hood, the downpipe and exhaust, and I'm possibly bagging it cause of how my roads are and the angle of my driveway
@@AttheApex i need a CF hood cause kids in the neighborhood thought it would be cool to sit on my hood, and they damaged it. I do have a short block going to outfront to be closed deck and upgraded to handle 800 wheel, right now the car is sitting at 400 wheel
I’m sorry but the Evo is king and has been for a long time. You drive a STI and that is just your opinion. The GTR is the only competition that fights neck and neck. The STI is the easiest to mod and the cheapest. But if you had 3 equal cars with the exact same set up the EVO will take it every time. That’s coming from a dude that drives a Subi daily.

@@ThatwhiteSTI wow, definitely only need 400 to 500 to keep up on HPDE with the right suspension mods.
What is the wheel and tire setup on that? Looks sick!
