Buddy will always be a legend, but what drummers like Tommy, Dave or Vinnie and many others play today is a just another Level. And this is normal, because people improve...
A Match-stick/Traditional grip that looked like mere childsplay. An intelligent bud rich-type play style, that conserves energy via minimalized movements. I saw the snare effortlessly taken for a jazzy stroll down the beach. On that stroll, there were perfectly timed rolls and crashes of the waves. All while maintaining complete ownership over the hi-hat. Dont even get me started on his use of the cowbell.. Ya, you can say this guy is talented. Easily a top contender.
