    Those apothecary cabinets and the secretary desk are beautiful! I would love them to set up a Victorian set!

      Thank you very much. It cost me my sinuses for a wee bit but as you can see was worth it.

    Both your apothecaries are brilliant. For the 2.0 maybe you could use a tiny bit of blue tack/ sticky tack under the bottles.

      I feel so dumb for not thinking of a non permanent way like this. It shall be done!! 😁

    This was a fun video, too, thank you for sharing! Needless to say but your work on the apothecaries is simply impressive. It's so true that making stuff for our dolls brings us so much satisfaction. Looking forward to seeing more from you!

      Glad to bring a bit of sunshine to you. I love anything anyone makes for their doll as well. From the simple to the elaborate, all are amazing.

    love your video, maybe consider museum wax to affix the bottle to the shelves

    • @pimenel
      @pimenel  4 года назад +2

      Now that would definitely be appropriate for the setting. Something classy. Unfortunately I got eager and just hot glued everything down on pieces of plastic.

    Gorgeous. Oh, try museum wax to hold things down

      Thank you. Oh and truthfully I got lazy after looking for the wax and just hit some plastic with hot glue to stick everything down with. But I will be keeping my eye out for the wax.

    Oh how I love watvhing your videos! You are sooo creative! What can I say. Very talented! Kudos to you. :)) i wish I can make one for my dolls too. By the way, what wood did you use again for your updated apothicary table?

    • @pimenel
      @pimenel  4 года назад +1

      Glad you're enjoying our journey together and thank you for the encouragement. All I can say is give something a shot you're comfortable trying and with practice you gain experience. Even mistakes teach us about making something. As for the woods, the slats and entirety of the drawers are all made using Poplar wood which I didn't know looked so good until after staining them. The sides and desk top was a cedar wood I wanted for strength since it encased everything and the back was a MDF board... since it won't be seen. And the trimming was store bought to give it detail.... except the bottom molding. That was a pickle to figure out.

    You can get a can of Stick Um Candle Wax from Amazon to keep your bottles on the shelves without using hot glue

    • @pimenel
      @pimenel  3 года назад

      Thank you, however I kinda already stuck everything down top a piece of plastic with hot glue.... but I could give it a shot and see hope well the Stick Um Wax works. It would be nice to remove and replace objects as needed.

    Where did you get the salesman sample?

    • @pimenel
      @pimenel  4 года назад +2

      That was found on Ebay under Vintage Salesman Sample Miniature Georgian Slant Front Desk. There are many of this type of furniture, many saying that it's perfect for dolls.

      @@pimenel that's really cool! I love stalking salesman samples too, that's a drop leaf secretary desk BTW. Awesome job on your DIY BJD props! 👍

      It's great seeing the craftsmanship they had for mini objects isn't it?! Especially the cast iron ones. Aaaand that name definitely is easier to remember than my train of a name to call it. And thank you very much =D
