Love how you're making the pantry challenge work! The tips for stretching the budget are so helpful, and those garlic knots look delicious 😋

Thank you so much! I still feel like a beginner at times when it comes to cooking and baking, but after only a few times of preparing those garlic knots I can confidently make them. Cooking from scratch definitely brings a sense of pride and accomplishment 😊 They really did turn out great! Stay tuned for next week's update, the supplies are starting to run really thin 😬

Enjoying your pantry challenge videos! Thanks for making them. We buy the Aldi vegan cheese the mozzarella is really good we have not tried their yellow cheese. Kroger has some cheddar slices that go on sale periodically and also a provolone (your child may not like that one). And one more thing, the home made “cheese sauces” can be frozen and then shredded or sliced. Cheaper in the long run. Maybe in February you could try that when you have the 50 budget it you continue your challenge.
Sorry the comment is so wordy!

Interesting thoughts! Thanks for sharing! I am definitely looking forward to exploring some projects in February and comparing prices. Like making homemade yogurt. Dairy in general can get quite pricey. Yeah, the dairy free child is tricky. Kids are picky enough just in general, but then we have to adapt. Sometimes they get a separate meal, sometimes the meal I serve works, and sometimes I give them a deconstructed version of the meal. Example, when I make the creamy sausage pasta, I give then plain sausage and plain noodles before mixing everything together. Always working at improving my children's diets where I can. Hope to see you back for the week 4 update!

Hello. Good video. Managing to use most of what is in the pantry and onlynbuy perishables. Keeping to my budget and doing well. I've been able to save well, and use what we have.
Its not easy, but I'm doing it. You're doing well. I'm sure its not easy for you either. I think some of the best elements that help is making either the menu or grocery list before shopping etc....

@@likeargamanflaming940 Yes! First step meal plan, then double check all meals for what I have and what needs to be purchased, add those items to the must-have list, then I will add additional items to the optional portion of my shopping list

@momwifeandeverydaylife Bingo! Excellent. This is a good plan. The minute I saw your video, I went into the hall closet and started to look at med items etc, exp dates to see what we have, what we(really don't need/really need).
It's sometimes difficult to hold back and to plan a few weeks out as to what you need vs. what you want.....😆getting better. Patience is also a necessary ingredient. That and control
