So excited for you all!! My bf and I just moved to a different country and we were both so ruthless but still ended up getting a 5x10 storage for the last bits of things we didn’t sell or trash. But we found out quick we also didn’t bring enough with us 😂

Do not worry about the driving test, you can drive on English license for first 12 months and get used to it and the test is so easy over there.

Hi lovely! Love the America content! My husband and I moved there for 2 years in 2019. So thought it might be handy to share some quick knowledge from our experience! I wouldn’t take any electrics over from the UK to the US with you - the voltage out there is different so things like tv’s etc and even hair dryers don’t work so well there! You’d do better buying there! Same with Christmas lights etc! So if you do any shipping in the future, just worth knowing that electrics/stuff that plugs in isn’t worth it! 🙂 I hope that helps! X

I moved to Canada from Australia to be with my now husband in 2012. I took nothing with me except for clothes 😂
We got married there and had two babies then decided to move back to Australia as a family in 2019. We packed almost 8 years worth of stuff into four suitcases! Moving overseas really does show you what is important to you. We have one storage container full of special things that we didn’t need to bring with us at my sister-in-law‘s house in Canada. We completely started over in Australia.
Once we bought our house, I had a lot of fun going shopping and buying new things to fill our new home. My style has changed over time and I’m glad that we didn’t bring anything like that from Canada. I am on Elle’s side to bring the Christmas baubles though 😂♥️

I'm old enough to be your mum and these vlogs are reminding me of when I moved out here to Australia from the UK in my early twenties now we're in the process of selling to go caravanning around Australia with our two Border Collies 😁 My husband is just like Con, he's the culling king 😂😂
Last move he was throwing stuff in the skip and I would go and get it back out 🙈

Whoa...7000 pounds to ship your belongings to the U.S.? Holy moly! Hopefully you did reduce what you really wanted to keep and donate Elle. My husband was just like Con when we moved from Cali to Texas and literally made me leave behind/donate so much stuff. I was fuming! 😡 He was right in the end though because when we got here I did buy a lot of new things and got rid of more stuff (after we had spent so much to move it all here.) Lol 😄 Hope you guys are settling in the U.S. nicely & enjoying your new life. It'll be an adjustment period for a few months, but hang in there. Sending much love from Fort Worth, Texas! 😊⛅🏡

Getting a license in US is a breeze, don’t sweat it. All the teens start driving at 16. My husband is from UK and he couldn’t believe how easy it was.
I got my license in a different state then I grew up (and took drivers edu), and it was even easier. Just drove around the block, and bam passed 😮
Just found out, that's why my gas cap is green but takes gas (petrol) cuz here in the US diesel caps are green. I had to 3x check my car took gas!
